Have you noticed any kind of ''orange peel effect'' on the glass after this work? I bought a phone that thad this done on the screen and it has a faint orange peel look when looking at it in good lightning or when my eyes focus on the glass, kinda annoying.

Planning to do a video on polishing those silver stainless steel sides on the iPhone?
@kiskukac133 жыл бұрын
As I seen in the other video you can also get this done for the front display of the phone, which I would get done in a heartbeat if I could have this service available anywhere near around me. I just got a iPhone 12pro max and I have managed to scratch up my front display by placing it in my pocket with my keys by mistake, while my screen protector was in the mail on the way. 😭 I seem to have some OCD about this because it’s driving me absolutely insane to have scratches on my brand new phone. 😩 On another note I think this would be very useful for someone who is looking to sell their used phone aswell, it makes a world of a difference(where I live) for what price you can sell a scratched up or an immaculate condition phone for. So it would be well worth it in my opinion. ☺️

Zack sent me... That is fucking brilliant... I’d charge £20-£25 (per-side) for that as a screen renewal. That UV cured sealant pretty much guarantees retention of water proofing, I know there’s no 100% but that is way better than a screen replacement, less costly and keep factory display... How much is the machine ?

Dude…. Annoyingly even my case no matter how clean I get it no dust nothing. I still takes off the very fine finish as if there is a clear coat on the back glass. Now when I clean my back glass with a microfiber cloth. The marks are invisible completely to the eye. Until my greasy hands roach it. Then reveal the back glass clear coat damage and it’s very very annoying.

How much does it cost each time to run the machine?
@Derekwemet3 жыл бұрын
$0
@chriscripe94773 жыл бұрын
@@Derekwemet that's not true the machine cost money to run. It has a rough lifetime each time you turn it on it takes away one run from it. Also the powdered stuff he uses cost money as well. While it may be cents on the dollar to run that's very important numbers to know before buying a machine. I honestly don't know anybody that would want this done. The only time I could see it useful is when there's a really scratched phone and instead of repairing the screen or back you could just use this. And thats not all that often that I have had phones that are so scratched they be considered cracked pricing
@Derekwemet3 жыл бұрын
@@chriscripe9477 you have some good points, but the laser machines to do the back glass effectively cost the about same amount. It also requires the cost of the glass, tools, adhesive, clamps, extra time and still quite a bit of labor and risk. The powder isn’t expensive and is reusable. It’s the perfect upsale in the industry when someone comes to a repair store for a battery or another issue but can also have scratches removed for and additional cost while having other work done for not a whole lot of extra time.

@frigyesdevogelaer7493 жыл бұрын
Knowing that A grade phones usually go for 40$ more then C grade phones you do the math when you gotta refurbish a 1000 phones every month
@ninjarepair3 жыл бұрын
@@frigyesdevogelaer749 yes that's an insane amount. Plus it would make the glass even more prone to breaking as it would make it thinner. I wouldn't personally waste my money :D

Some people can but others cant. This machine in my opinion is best used as a way to make used phones appear new instead of replacing the glass for resale in repair/retail stores. it can also be used to up sale someone who is needing another service like a battery or a port.

@@Derekwemet I thing the whole thing is really cool and seems to work well. But the problem for me would be cost of the equipment, how profitable it is and the time it takes as well as the risk of potentially damaging a customers device.
@dolsimon3 жыл бұрын
@@mabisbabis9480 well there would also be a risk of damaging the customers device if you physically replace the glass right? If the risk is comparable then this could be quite convenient.
