*FIXED* 2018 Toyota CHR | CVT Transmission Bearing Replacement

I could not find any good video of this problem so here it is. The symptoms of a bad CVT pulley bearing is a sound while driving that sounds similar to a bad wheel bearing. Once you put the car on a hoist and can use a stethoscope you will find the noise is coming from the transmission.

Hi, thank you for this video and I want you to tell me how to put back the spring and I found the bearing from the order that you ordered and thank you so much, appreciate your video and your cooperation. It helped me so much. The only thing that I couldn’t understand is the spring putback method because I’m opening one right now and it has the same problem that you had but the spring just I’m just trying to know how to put it back

Im not 100% sure which spring you’re referring to. I think you’re talking about the spring that holds the parking pawl lever. If that’s the one it’s a bit tricky to get on but there is only 2 ways for it to go and I can’t remember the specifics but if you do one way and the end of the spring is not fully touching the lever then flip the spring over. I think one end is longer than the other and if it’s correct the side of the spring that pushes on the lever will be taller than the lever so to have full contact on the lever. I hope this makes sense.
