What's your opinion on this Surly chain tensioner ? I'm looking for a pair (or a single?) of such products but the price seems high for what it does ? I have horizontal dropouts (Omnium CxC v2 frame), is there a study and durable (and black!?) chain tensioner that you would recommend ? Cheers from France and keep up the good work, your vids are excellent !
@waveywheelies2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s a super sturdy and strong tensioner and works really well and is easy to adjust tension. This is the first time I’ve used a tensioner and it works really well. There is a few different ones on the market that are all slightly different, but they surly one is the only one I’ve used. Not super familiar with that rear drop outs in that frame so might be best to contact omnium and see their opinion!

How do you pop that wheelie so clean? I look like I'm trying to launch myself to the moon to get the front up 🤣 also how many streamrollers you got? I assumed this black build wasn't yours because you built that glorious drink more water yellow one.
@waveywheelies2 жыл бұрын
Just practice really, also speed and gear ratio will help you pop it up easier. And yeah I kept this one!

Hey man, love the vid. Was wondering, what size was that surly and how tall are u? Cheers
@waveywheelies Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks man! It’s a 53cm, and I’m 178cm. It’s a little on the small side but I personally prefer it like that as it’s easier for tricks!

dude the tires lookk massive what are they 28 or 32?
@guppyitsallgood2 жыл бұрын
Different perspectives ay, pretty funny to see this having ridden more road than track, and seeing someone call 28s massive tyres. I don't think any new top road bike would come off the shelf with anything less than a 25. Most data seems to prove that as soon as you take your bike off a perfectly smooth velo, you're faster on a larger tire with lower pressure, with the rolling resistance vs aero sweet spot being around 25-28 depending on exactly how smooth the road is overall.
@guppyitsallgood2 жыл бұрын
Those are 38s BTW according to his website
@Bi6M4C2 жыл бұрын
@@guppyitsallgood I know that. but I ride a 80s frame so max tyre width is 28 but 26 is more comfortable. thanks for the unasked lecture tho xD
@Bi6M4C2 жыл бұрын
@@guppyitsallgood thank u, for me these are huge tho because as I said on my winter bike are 26c tyres
@thorodinson59102 жыл бұрын
So the brakes are the chains/gear? Sorry I'm noob at this sector.
@waveywheelies2 жыл бұрын
Effectively yeah, the rear cog is fixed to the hub. So if the wheel moves forward your pedals move foward and if your wheel moves back your pedals move back
@thorodinson59102 жыл бұрын
@@waveywheelies sounds like it requires good amount of skills to properly ride this type. If i rotate/flip the rear wheel will it become normal? Or wil it still act like a fixie?
