Could you of done it on low flow or was high flow a must? I am looking at buying a Harley Rake but only have low flow.
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
From my experience, if you can swing it I would get a high flow machine. Not only for the harley rake, but it comes in handy, mainly for a heavy brush cutter as well. Good luck. With only low flow, you do have some limitations and have to go much slower. Thanks.
@danmcgivern13453 жыл бұрын
@@kapperoutdoors I just bought a Kubota svl75-2 low flow. I only run it for fun and don't make a living with it so I got low flow. Also I was lucky to get anything this year with all the shortages.

Do you use the float on the rake or keep the pin in the other hole? I see the float has benefits but when I’m making a first pass on a rough drive, should I not have the pin in the float position ? Thanks
@kapperoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly those are made to be in float mode all the time and should be resting on the tires. However, lots of guys use them manually with the tires up and just cut it by feel. But you will know if you cut too much it will slow or stop the drum. But I've used it both ways and using the tires is a bit easier to get your depth with the loader tilt, while not putting any downward pressure on that drum. Good luck. I have since sold the power rake and now use an SR3 for grading.

just dumping the stone won't fix hard pan washouts (i.e. potholes) They have to be ground down past the bottom to properly fix them. With fresh stone they will just keep getting bigger over time. Thanks
