As somebody that has done a lot with geological research, it doesn't make sense to put these round shapes in the screen. The background looked nice, if it was a little bit lighter. But what is needed here is proper knowledge about trends in geological research, and creating a design that is derived of that, more tongue in cheek, something that any real geological expert would recognize so it affirms the expertise of the company that this website is created for. Sorry to be harsh, but this design makes the company look like an idiot.
