Fixing a Broken Shock Mount

We've had nothing but drama these past couple of weeks. Anyways, I was driving with a large group of my fellow mustang friends when I hit a pretty good size pothole on the freeway - at first I thought I popped a bag, but thankfully after some investigation I blew a shock mount.
This video is just me explaining the situation and recording my good friend Max help me replace the mount.

It's worth it to spend the $175 - $250 for a quality shock mount.....Cast aluminum makes no sense......Ford should have used billet from the factory and charged a few more bucks......I just put Steeda mounts on a 2016 GT......They actually do make a huge difference when trying to achieve zero deflection......

Dude, my body mount bolt broke off in my strut assembly. I’ve tried everything,,,can’t get it out. Btw...check your tie rods, and ball joints.

I cant believe theres only one freaking video about this issue lol. Mine broke for the second time. Brand new shock mount didnt last a year. Upgrading to steeda!!

Literally just happened to me yesterday, hit a dip in the road probably a tad too fast and both my rear mounts failed, new ones on the way!

My rear shock mounting broken my Chevy Uplander I had to remove the shock and have that piece welded back

Man this just happened to me this weekend!!! Like literally the same thing. I was planning on getting different upper mounts and my little accident expedited the purchase! Thanks for making me a little more calm about what the noise was!
