Thanks man, I did do one strip on the lowest setting, but the lawn hasn’t recovered in that strip. I’m glad I didn’t do the whole lawn that low because it would’ve been under too much stress I think. Thanks for watching

Hey Dan . Can I just use a pitchfork to do this as I don’t have a corer? Can you tell me what to do first… I have a tiny lawn full of Wintergrass.I’m guessing kill that first ,but I also need to level it up and fertilise. What products do I use?
@danielslawncare3 жыл бұрын
Yep, you sure can use a pitchfork. Firstly, get rid of all your weeds. Then give it a mow, pitchfork, fertilise and topdress. Hope this helps! Just ALWAYS READ THE LABEL & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS :)

Well done that was super fun to watch ! Not a whole lot of buffalo reno vids out there and thinking of doing one on my Sir Walter myself , I’m still new to the lawn care game so I appreciate your time to make a video - super looking forward to follow up videos I must’ve missed it but how much topdress did you order for you 54m2 ? Killer leg workout pumping that wheelbarrow up the drive way haha!
@danielslawncare3 жыл бұрын
There certainly isn’t too many Buffalo vids out there or channels with buffalo. I ordered 1/2m3 of top dress for my size yard. It looks more in the video because I did my front lawn as well. Basically every 100 sqm will need 1m3 of top dress. Just don’t go too thick on buffalo. If you have any other questions, I’m more than happy to help.
@aussiespursfan86093 жыл бұрын
@@danielslawncare thanks for the help Regarding core aerating , I know you and your brother used one each - how long did it take you to do the back? It seems more practical to own one and use as needed in the long term - than to hire a mechanical one It definitely takes a bit longer from the looks of things !

That driveway must have looked like a huge mountain by the last few loads of top dress 😅 If I were you I’d get rid of that trampoline so you have more backyard for the buffalo to spread. I’ll come round and take your trampoline away for free mate if you would like. Just say the word🤙
@danielslawncare3 жыл бұрын
Haha, yeah it’s a very steep driveway. Nice try 😀 we love that trampoline we’ve had it for years and years. I’d definitely recommend getting a spring free, they are really good quality.

@danielslawncare3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Richard. Yeah next time I might get that USGA stuff, this was the best stuff my local supplier had in stock at this time. I’m not reel mowing yet so I’m not too concerned about any wood chips, but I understand what you mean. I haven’t had any weeds germinate at all because I put down the pre-emergent. Thanks for watching 👍

Well done mate. Great video. Quality job. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a few months
@danielslawncare3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Jason, I can’t wait to see the progress either. Because there’s quite a few bare areas, do you think I should look at getting a PGR that encourages and enhances plant growth? In theory that would make the bare areas fill in quicker and thicken up. I don’t mind mowing more, I’ve got the time too.
@jasongarbutt42423 жыл бұрын
@@danielslawncare hey mate, fuck no. Don't read too much into that stuff. A light liquid feed with something like multigrow every week and water every second day mate. As the weather warms up it will start to kick. Do that every week and by the end of October you will be mowing it three times a week. Regular small liquid feeds is a old trick that always works.
@danielslawncare3 жыл бұрын
@@jasongarbutt4242 Ok, thanks Jason. I’ve just been up to the PGR part in my course so I thought I’d ask you. I’ll do exactly what you said and see how it goes. Mowing 3 times a week seems a lot for buffalo, because it’s such a small lawn I might look at an Ego mower or Bushranger electric one. Thanks for your help
