I have the 06 300c srt8. I've had since bought with 64,000 miles on it . She's babied. I've had no real issues. Other than the dreaded "clunk" noise in the front. Turned out to be the sway bar bushings and would only do it on roads with little bumps and divots. That was 10 yrs ago . Now with 90,000 miles she's still going strong and still looking beautiful. It kills me that the younger guys get them and beat on them continuously and wonder why things break. I do womp on mine sometimes though I just don't beat the shit out of it. Happy motoring everyone. 👍

We had a 300M that was just bad ass! I mean when you're talking about a sports sedan Chrysler really made exactly that. It was fast, responsive and comfortable at the same time. We got it used and that's the way I felt about it, and when it did have an issue I looked it up and saw videos that came with the car when it was new on KZbin that showed all the cool ass features it had that we didn't even know it did 😳 it finally blew a head gasket and it's sitting on her daughter's property collecting dust but that car was really something wish we'd had it from the time it was brand new!
@danielhartin76802 жыл бұрын
The 300M's styling was outstanding. I loved the rakish sporty look to it, and to be honest I was very disappointed in the look of the replacement 300C. Never took to it, although the later versions did manage to get away from that boxy, gangster look somewhat.

You probably had a leaky water pump. I saw a repair video on that problem right here on youtube. The leak, they said, is very difficult to see due to a very small weep hole on the pump. Even if you know the pump is bad, it's not a job for the faint of heart. You need to remove the timing chain cause it drives the pump. This means installing special clips to hold each of the 4 camshafts in place. Lots of labor! Expensive!...Jay, how would you like to change the pump on a Taurus??

I’ll make another video in the future, but oil consumption, noisy valve train. Prone to dropping valve seats, and then the coolant leaks. It doesn’t take much to overheat one and that’s when the heads just check out. Replacement heads are still pricy. And used engines are even higher.

SRT8 wheels on this one. I almost knee jerked about the dipstick, but it's the trans dipstick that Chrysler stopped sticking in so you have to buy one from them or Dorman. Im not gonna make one leakage joke.

Not SRT wheels: "SRT Design" package on this one. This is standard 300c, but with Powertrain calibration, brakes and suspension from the Dodge Charger Daytona of the same year. Has SRT interior and unique (non-SRT) 20" wheels. The mirrors and door handles were body-color, though on this one, someone needed more bling. Chrome trim on front and rear bumpers is factory as this package did not get the SRT bumper covers. This SRT-design package was only available in 2007 and 2008, where "300s" replaced it for the last two years of this body style.

Unfortunately that’s not the case for the Hemi. They just have a poor design in general with the cylinder heads. Dropping valve seats and consuming oil. These littered garages everywhere having the heads replaced when they first came out. And replacement engines are still very pricy.

And you know that exstra 30 bucks for shop supplies witch witch I aways hid it on all good people but if you came in with that attitude no and the survey would always find its way in cyberspace but for the most part you treat them with repect you got it back but it doesn't matter sometimes there are some you do everything for and they would still be mad at the wrong person because they ever did maintenance at Toyota in Pensacola they purchased a Camry and brought it in at almost 70k and never change the oil just added oil I was totally blown away when he replied well when I bought it the said you don't need too do anything but drive and as far as a salesman yes it could have been possible. I wasn't there for the purchase but I felt like he was being honest I did a complete 60k and flushed that block the best I could. He definitely was a great customer afterward.

I've worked on tons and tons of them over the years. Chrysler went to shit when they discontinued the 4.0 and both the 318/360 engines. And then just destroyed themselves when they became FCA. I've owned plenty of Chryslers as flip vehicles...hardest cars to sell...even harder than a damn Audi/VW and those are just as shitty.
