Fixing a driveway with a trackloader Cat 943

Fixing a driveway that was washed out. This is just a patch to get it through the winter. in the spring I will get a dozer on it and pitch it properly then pack it with a roller.

Dude I did a double take on your Kubota L255DT! I had a 2WD L225 for a number of years that I restored. Tip - couple huge improvements where changing the valve seals, adjust valves (they were .004 out of spec), and a new gear reduced starter. The thing cranked so much easier, faster, had more power and smoked way less. Sold it to a coworker once I bought my 01 MF1225 with fel, 4wd, and hydrostat. Not as fuel efficient as the Kubota w manual trans, but much more utilitarian. Thanks for the content!

Hey so there’s some history with this one, my great grandfather bought it new in 78 and my dad traded him an old station wagon for it when he was 18. Talk about a beast of a tractor! I’ve been running it since I was 10 And there hasn’t been much it wouldn’t do that we asked of it. Dad recently put a high torque starter in it and it’s never started this well as long as I remember. Unfortunately the old girl doesn’t have a roof to live under and has spend its life outside. Someday I’d love to restore it. Definitely good tractors!

I really enjoy watching your channel. I stumble across your videos about three months ago when I was in the market for a track loader. I either was going to buy a John Deere 555G with a four in one bucket or a Cat 943. Long story short, I joined a Facebook page which I definitely recommend it’s called Track Loaders Fans, but AnyWho, I learned that the John Deere loaders have parts that are basically obsolete and hard to find and caterpillar ended up having way better visibility and parts are typically easy to get. But I love watching what kind of jobs and task that you throw at your 943 and it always just puts a smile on my face because it just helps me figure out what exactly it’s capable of and what jobs I should go for. But I really like your set up and I’d really like to get to your point someday. Next step is finding a nice tag trailer so I can tow it behind my pete. I also just started following your instagram page. I’m not sure how often you go on your Instagram, but I post quite a bit on my business profile story with a quite a bit of machines that we run and operate… just thought you might get a kick out of it! Hey bud thanks for following! so I love the old Deere crawlers, but its very hard to compare them to a rear engine cat loader. the rear engine machines are just much more balanced, hydro drive, and much better visability. I grew up running deere 350,450, and 555 loaders. Ill always have a soft spot for them but when it comes to production a 943 or even a 953 is the way to go! Love the operators view from 943 - 973 cat loaders just don't like how the track frame sticks out trying to load tandem axle trucks! Personally I prefer the 963 out of that series of cats! For power and performance!

Yea cat makes the best track loader! I’d have preferred a 953 but it’s just not practical for my work. I don’t use the 943 much but I’m one of the only guys around that has a loader in their fleet so it’s nice to have
