Got it fixed. the stock jacks were junk, so rather than order some, I fitted it with Cliff jacks... I would have as soon done switchcraft, but I didn't have any on hand. Quite a powerful amp... USA made, and seems well constructed, except for those garbage jacks.

Got the same amp two years ago, also the input jacks were so loose and fitting new ones made it so much better :) Also my lineout jack is not working, probably because it is used so much in the 25 years, the effect ones are fine so it is due to wear

As it turns out, I COULD buy the original jacks, but since I had the Cliff jacks, I went that route. The original type jacks are still available... Although the build quality isn't so good in my opinion.

Aah, I bought some at a local store that are the same style you used which is working great. Didn't know the original were still available

Amplified parts is the best place to look for replacement parts. As far as the circuit goes, I think it performs well. Fender's amps in the last few decades are being built with "lowest possible price" in mind.. and it hurts long term reliability. In a month I'm going to reveal a 100% tube bass amp... stay tuned.

So I've tried this, and the switches aren't the same as the stock ones from what I see. The new piece has a double switch closing both ground and the input/tip to the pins on the other side. The factory one has a simple switch that opens and closes and isn't connected to the input or ground pins. With the new jacks, Input 1 works w/o input 2 hooked up ( hooked it up first and did a test run, and Input 2 works when both are connected. Depending on how you wire the switch side, you either have open hum when input 2 is open, or can have it quiet and switched to ground as it should, but no matter what, input 1 has the input/tip always grounded with a plug or not (verified w/ continuity testing So either I really missed something here (I'd love to know what it is, because I've been banging my head for hours now, or the different switch style isn't compatible. :/ Time to order direct replacements for me I think.

I have a similar issue as yours... But instead of produce that fuzz sound, it produces like a wave sound or something, but clear, not fuzzy and I can't module the sound, but if I connect my bass guitar to the Power In or however it's called, it sounds. So I hope that I have the same issue as yours because that repair doesn't seems to be really hard, but I'm pretty scared because the bass guitar doesn't sound at all and I can't module the sound... PD: I have a Fender Rumble 100, I forgot to mention it xD

Really helpful video but how do you wire these? I Have a BXR 300C with a bad input jack but you didnt show the wiring procedure.

Since the part is available, I'd suggest just ordering the one that fits straight on the board. At the time I didn't know I could get it, so I did things the hard way. www.amplifiedparts.com/products/jack-fender-14-pc-mount-mono

Glad to help. I thought this amp had a good solid sound, and the owner was happy to have it working... I heard he got it for chump change at a garage sale. I'd snap it up too.

Cool. Thats how i got my BXR 300C. $40 off of craigslist. It was dirty and abused and input jack #2 didnt work so got it cheap. The guy said it was cutting out but i dont think he was a bass player and he had the deltacomp button on. I have been using it with no problem but want to have both jacks now that i have an active bass also. Thanks again !

It's amazing how good of deals can be found on stuff that needs nothing more than a bath..... it seems like 40% of the stuff I get in to "fix" is more of just a clean up.

Hi Aron... since I don't have this one at my shop anymore, I'm going to have to be "pretty sure" in my answer. Please double-check me visually. Here's the schematic. support.fender.com/schematics/bass_amplifiers/BXR_100_schematic.pdf I'm "pretty sure" these are the jacks, please double check me, as my memory isn't perfect. www.amplifiedparts.com/products/jack-fender-14-pc-mount-mono The POT is a 50K... Audio/Log taper. There should be one that can be made to work on AP's site.
