I'm a single 60-year-old woman and I followed your instructions and it worked! Instead of painter's tape I used thread seal tape. Do you think that's okay? Thank you so very much for taking the time to make this video It just saved me a lot of money and time buying and putting together a new one!

I think I would have reinstalled the copper tube and thermocouple sensor; maybe not put it back into the hole in the pit by the ignitor, but without that connection, gas can leak out of the valve assembly. Not trying to be disparaging at all. I'm in the middle of working on (and hopefully repairing) mine that is almost identical to yours and have learned a LOT from your video and about 15 others. LOL
