Quick question you said that gamecubes usual resistance is between the 300-500 range. Then why dial it down to 200? Would that potentially make the laser to strong? And could dialing it too low harm the disks in anyway? But all in all following your steps I was able to fix my gamecube. Years later and your still helping people. Thank you so much
@tntgamezone48184 жыл бұрын
I don't think you're gonna make the laser too strong because What happens is after time the laser starts to go weak eventually it's going to burn out Unfortunately. but we can get a few more years of enjoyment doing this thank you for watching
@Tot_sr Жыл бұрын
ik this comment was a few years ago now but allow me to help clear some stuff up for you. so the range your referring to differs based on the model of gamecube you may have. a DL-001 model gamecube sits in the 150-250 range however the DL-101 model rests between 400-500. Hope this answers your question all these years later!

Sir! I had ordered a spice orange gamecube from Amazon maybe 6 months back, I was disappointed to find out it also didn't read discs, I ended up getting a full refund and I've been meaning to go inside and try to fix it, I have no prior knowledge in technology aside from playing, so I ordered all the right tools and after working along side you in this video the gamecube is playing games like its brand new! Would this potentially work for the error message that says "An error has occurred. Turn the Power Off and check the Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet for further instructions." This message always pops up on the exact same spot for every game. Ex: When trying to enter the ice levels in Gauntlet Dark Legacy, after exiting the tutorial in Tak, etc. Every game has a different but specific spot that causes the disk to stop spinning and the error to pop up. All disks are in damn near PERFECT condition and the system and eye reader are squeaky clean ):
