I had to rewatch, enjoyed the process and how it looked when completed!

The idea with the power rake to make it effective is set it so the front wheels are on the ground and the teeth dig in good for the first pass and then basically use it like a box blade only pushing into the top inch or two. To get your crown angle the attatchmemt towards the center.

I had a chance to use it for a several more jobs this week, starting to get it down now! Videos to come 🤨

When I start power raking i bring the teeth down till they just touch then go down 1-2 “ to start. Always going backwards to begin with. Make a couple passes back and forth at that depth going in reverse. Then go down another 1-2 “ doing the same thing. Just keep doing this till you get to the final depth you want cutting out all the pot holes and ruts. Now you start doing your finish passes raising your drum up 2-3” from your last digging depth but go forward now. Make a few passes then raise the drum up another 1-2” going forward a few more times. The you just keep raising your drum up till eventually you are just barely touching the gravel going forward on all the passes. Then it will be finished flat and smooth. Way better than trying to use your bucket to level.

I will take those methods into consideration for next time, thanks for the advice!

Is there a difference bewteen going forward and backwards with the power rake? Great work huge fan of all the videos

To be honest I don't have a whole lot of experience power raking yet, but I believe it has a little more power pushing material forward, but digs better going backwards. It also has fins that lower down forward that allows you to move and level gravel easier moving forward without digging into the driveway when you are finish grading. Thanks for watching the channel! 😀

@@sawyerslawncareserviceso my year experience with it, go forward knock the center down then go forward on the right side angling the rake to the center with the right blade down to keep material in. It will self level and crown the driveway for drainage. I usually do my first passes just barely breaking up the material so in a higher position then the 2nd 3rd passes over each section dive deeper to below the pot holes but if you look in the manual it will show you how to crown the driveways, it’s my favorite attachment to date. Also, I run the first pass not in float the next passes in float. There is a depth gage on the right hand side of the attachment from the operator seat to know your float depth just found that the other day! You should get the power bucket and 3 and 1 hitch for the back then you can move material and power rake and not need your 2nd machine along with your stump grinder jobs. You could be filling in and grinding with the same trip. I use my pocket bucket so much with the power rake and the power broom on the front for driveways and fixing plow damage, then I don’t have to bring my kubota tractor to the jobs. Just a thought totally worth the investment for the power bucket with hydros in the back. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on the stump grinder yet. You should have been able to move material with the setup said on mine but the power rake would have done it too. Get some time on it and you’ll see its potential without having to make two trips or bring the tractor. Good luck!

@@sawyerslawncareservicealso power bucket would be great for your stump grinding jobs grind the stump and power bucket to fill in after rather than bringing the second machine. Keep the videos coming, I have yet to start filming alot of mine

I'll have to take another look at the manual to check out the crowning instructions. Thanks!
