Fixing a Honda gx22 brushcutter

Good job mate. Just been working on the same strimmer. Had a hole in the fuel tank which I repaired with a soldering iron and plastic milk bottle container,. I checked and they are both made out of ptfe so the repair looks solid and no leaks. On my carb there is a "high" adjust screw on the side and the "low" screw was hidden under a little rubber grommet on the top of the carb where the throttle linkage is.There's a little brass circle and the rubber is inside with the little screw underneath. Was running good today, lets see if it starts tomorrow lol. Thanks man.

💪 last thing replaced is the faulty one 😅 I wanted to take ride today but the engine lacks power and cuts off ... started with the carburetor, spark plug, ignition coil and finally found the culprit magneto. Sometime it's hard to find bug in the system, takes a while, but at least you have a good revision on the engine with all that carburetor rebuild and fuel lines and filter replaced. 👍

@@Devon.Ferguson Just took a ride, preparing video with it. It's nice the feeling of freedom a motorized bike gives: no registration, emission test, insurance, driving license, kinda of an outlaw 😁

When you don't know what you're doing, keep doing the same thing and hope it cures itself. Next time adjust the H needle on the carburetor.

On that carburetor there is no L and H adjustment screws. But even if there was, the spark plug would still be the problem.

@@Devon.Ferguson Not to mention you mounted the carburetor metering gasket on top of the metering diaphragm - supposed to be the other way around. Surprised it started and ran at all.

I didn’t show it but I did correct that. Still runs good.
