how did you determine it was a short by reading it was 13 omz ?

When I put my meter to the same resistor it says 55.79 what does that mean? Also, when I unplug the monitor connector, it still says the samething. Would you happen to know whats up? I am still learning how to use the meter but I do have it set to ohms.

I have a question I also own a small Apple repair shop and the other day I was taking apart the same model and I put a new screen on and somehow near the LCD one of the capacitors or something caught on fire and it looks like it’s burned out I just wanted to see maybe you can help me order the right thing to fix it

I have this same issue, Apple quoted me £680 just to look at it, I have given it to a local person who fixes electronics, awaiting to see what he says. But one second I was using my MacBook as normal on the desk (I don't even move it anywhere it's stayed in same place for over a year) and then it just randomly turned black. Same thing as you, when I took it into Apple they connected a hdmi and sure it was working on another screen. It's such a shame it's so difficult to fix and that I'm wondering how much I'll have to pay this guy to fix it, I really hope it isn't much. Apple told me their products only last 5 years and I shouldn't pay to fix it just use that money toward a new computer. So sad. I spent £2,800 on that after a couple upgrades at purchase. I thought it would last around 10 years. Wish I was as clever as you sir

Bro why did you guys cut the video in certain parts was trying to figure out how to remove the screen bottom shiled after disconnecting the monitor, I finally got it though... -_-

Hello , I have MacBook Pro A1398 late 2013.I bought display, seller sent from A1398 2015.My display code LP154WT1 (SJ)(E1), display code from 2015 LP154WT2 (SJ)(A1).I know, new generation display have a different initialization method maybe different LVDS interface.How I can connect new display to old MacBook?Is it possible?
