Ho bra lucky thing I saved my 8000 and 4000 penn fierce 2 reels! I had the same exact problem! I was gonna throw it away but it’s hard to throw away reels! After watching this I tried it and it worked! I’m stoked thanks braddah bill and braddah kapono! Yessah🤙

Thanks man, started getting very stiff drag on my fierce 5000 was about to replace all washers and then realised it was stiff without any washers, used your trick and now my drag is working smooth as silk. Thanks so much for sharing this. I just used the drill bit that fit very snug into the spool. Super happy

awesome!!!! im going to do this right now! my feirce started sticking recently. you should replace your drag washers with carbon fiber ones from smoooth drag. found them on youtube. also replced washers for my senator 4/0

I've had to do something similar. didn't use a drill tho... just some 600 grit sandpaper on the brass rod to get it to loosen up.

Hey braddah kapono, I had dis same issue and it turned out that my washers were burnt out and I took em to the fish store had me repaired, didn’t immediately fix the issue but after a couple days it seems like it fixed itself

Go down to any shore line. Somewhere new every time and explore the rocks and coast. Lots of good stuff out there. Each place is different and good
