I'm sure this is before your time, but I remember about the guy that was walking home to McCully from the boat harbor and fell into the canal He was drunk and had been in a fight so he had superficial injuries. It was a short time later that he died from some kind of massive bodily infection. Be careful with that ala wai water, that stuff is lethal.
@FrankCruz-zt4pv13 күн бұрын
My problem is as the reel starts to run the drag knob spins causing it to basically tightens it self and locks up on its self..

Private property only extends to the high water mark. If I saw that sign I'd think they meant not to stand in their yard and fish.

Just saw this and it brought back memories. I'm a 75 grad from UH and me and my buddies would fish that pond quite often and catch a wide variety of fish there when we had time off from class. We caught Black Bass, Peacock Bass, Oscars, Chinese Catfish, Channel Catfish, and Smallmouth Bass. All the fish we caught was released back in the pond so we never had a shortage of fish to catch. The Good Ole Days!!!

Sorry to hear this news, made a small donation and hope it will help reach their goal with enough community support. I'll share the link as well. My Mom and Dad beat cancer. My GF has beaten cancer. I am praying that your friend will beat cancer as well.

My friend/coworker just passed from cancer about 1am this morning she was only 60 years young, she is my hero for being so strong mentally and physically eventhough the road was rough she had just lost her dad too couple months ago but she never gave up. Her passing also reminded me to not take life and simple things for granted because it could be here today and gone tomorrow so be thankful of what you have in your life tell the people in your life you love em while you're still able to and not wait till its too late. My pops passed away unexpectedly from an anerism when i was 16 and i never got to say all the things i wanted to tell him but i know ultimately in the end that everything will be ok when we all get called back home in that big mansion in the sky. Aloha and malama from Alaska 🤙🏽👊🏽🙏

@jamessantiago97242 ай бұрын
Heck ya action!!!🤙🏽🤙🏽🎣 you gotta make it to Alaska one day and sample the fishing up here its pretty crazy when the fish are in good. Gotta keep the freezer stocked to provide the grinds for the family, good to have a good vacuum sealer keeps it from getting freezer burned.. are you not doing full vids anymore or just not at the moment got lots going on?

I would suggest using a bubble weight they just are better and cheaper honestly use a strong bubble or else they will break after like 2 cast

That pond has gone through many transformations. Nice to see its shoreline green again and the water level back to normal. The shoreline was totally cut back in the mid 80s and the water level fell several feet below the level of the outfall pipe that’s on the tennis courts side of the pond. Back then there were only guppy sized Medaka (mosquito fish) in there. I would catch 3 inch Medaka at nearby Manoa stream and freeline them in this pond. The bass and peacock bass would go nuts over the big Medaka having never seen them before. What memories.😢

Incredible size for a river!!! I used to throw an extra rod out the back of the boat with either a live minnow or just a giant senko worm while drifting the channels for walleye in Michigan. sooner than later the rod would go off and we all look twords the back of the boat huge smallie would be launching out the air. They are an amazing fish and a heck of a fight on light tackle. Caught a couple close to 10 pounders using that technique. ❤
@pnw_element98222 ай бұрын
That’s not a bad smallie bro there’s bigger ones in there and there’s some good size large mouth as well
