We miss you Jay! At least I do. Please make more videos? It’s obvious there’s only so many repair videos that can be shown day to day. It’s not just the repairs repeating. It’s your techniques and attitude towards the repairs amongst a whole host of other things I could point out that make you channel popular. There’s not that many people who deserve to be called an influencer, you on the other hand have a natural talent and personality to be right up there. I really is great to see you! 👍🇬🇧

That Ocular HUD for your scope so you can see your multimeter is awesome! I can pretend to be Robocop now. We learn more from our mistakes than our successes, props for leaving your mistake in as it would have been easy to edit out. I don't know if it's possible but would you be able to tell us when using hot air what airflow & temps you are using? It really helps the noobs like me. Great video as always Jason, pleasure to watch.

Nice Flame up!! Reminds me of my Engineering college days.... I was overseeing the Senior Project Lab... Walked by one major brainiacs and smelled a little burning silicon. Told Her to check chips on the breadboard with the back side of her index finger, Just tap on it!! Well I was watching her Plant the back of her finger on each chip. You know the outcome... When she got to the chip in question (Wired backwards) She Yelp in pain, waving her finger in the air! Well she had a nice outline of the state of Texas (T.I. chip) on the back of her finger!!

Please what microscope objective lens are you using?
@wwelkss3 жыл бұрын
Nice fix, 5 days before you released this video a car ran my XR as well, can you tell me the values for the capacitor and filter or from which device would they fit. I would've send you the phone so you can fix it but i am from a different continent. Much appreciated.
@ststele3 жыл бұрын
This was a 6.4v 10uF capacitor and the filter was rated for 320mA. If yours has the same cap shorted, you could get away with just removing the cap. The filter is likely ok and the cap won’t make a noticeable difference.
@wwelkss3 жыл бұрын
@@ststele thanks for the advice. The display is working now but no backlight now. Can it be the filter?

Thanks Jason, I really needed a video from you today and I got one and a good one at that. *THANK YOU!!* 👍👏👏👏👏 I bet that Ocular is handy little tool and not a bad price for that either IMO. You do realise though that due to your Ocular experience in time of war you will be called up and _forced_ to fly attack helicopters since you won't need training on getting your eye used to their ocular HUD unit used. *BONUS!* 👍 🚁 You and your family keep safe, OK! 🤞

I ask again,please tell me lens for your camera from microscope
@ststele3 жыл бұрын
When I bought the camera, I really didn’t know what to order. I knew the mount type of the camera and the size of the hole on the slider adapter thing that came with the scope. I measured the hole and found an adapter that would make the 2 fit together. I got lucky and it worked on the first try! I really don’t know exactly which adapter it is other than it is a 0.5x adapter. My setup isn’t good. I am only capturing around 50% of the viewing area with my camera. I’m getting ready to change how my camera is mounted to fix it but not sure what all to order yet until I do some research! Sorry, I’m not much help for this.

Does the XR have a stacked PCB?
@ststele2 жыл бұрын
No it's more like older iPhones but they used really high temp alloy on some of the shields making it harder to work on.

Would you say seek is better than the flir
@ststele3 жыл бұрын
Yes, hands down. With the macro lens on the seek (and not having it all crooked for KZbin), you can clearly see the smallest of components without the need to narrow it down with alcohol or something else. I only used the FLIR in this video because I didn’t have a mount to hold my only android device to a tripod. :-)
