I had a regular 112 red model. What a nice little saw! Unfortunately, as a kid, I listen to somebody’s advice to run Amsoil full synthetic, 100 to one mix. It didn’t last more than one tank before it’s scored the piston and cylinder!😢

I myself have a similar one. I use it every day. The best saw in the world. I also have a silver version. I have also one red version.

I have an older dollar 112. It actually is Sachs Dolmar 112 I have used it a lot and it has been running great. But recently every time I hit the throttle, it kills the engine. I have put in a new spark plug, cleaned it inside and out, cleaned the carburetor, piston looks great, good compression, easy to start. But when I pull on the trigger it revs up a little bit than dies, even after multiple tries. Any ideas of what’s going on?

Hi, I have honestly no idea. These symptoms you describe can be from anything. Did you replace the fuel lines? Check for air leaks? Did you change the high and low settings by accident?

@@dabberty I tuned the carb, fuel lines are good, no air leaks, piston looks good no scratches. It does seem to have bad compression after doing a compression test. I’m going to try to replace the cylinder and see if that resolves the issue.

I know the 112 was points and condenser and the 114 was solid-state, is the silver edition points or electronic?

Hi, do you know what size gaskets fit on the clutch side and magnet wheel of the Dolmar 112?
