What annoying thing do you have with your RV that you did change or wanted to change? Today we solved a few things that bugged us about the RV like the gap on the doors, The 2 hose drain water combined to one, The fireplace loud beeping, and adding outlets where we actually needed them. The valve on the end of our drain line is the Valtera twist lock valve. It makes it cleaner when connecting the tanks after driving. By using it we don't have "anything" spill out when we remove the cap.

Yes, I do the exact same thing. Funny you open up electronic devices to locate and remove the buzzers or beepers which are kind of like a speaker usually a thin metal diaphragm inside it and rests on the printed circuit board. So very annoyingly loud. Started this routine back in 1987 with my first home & microwave oven. Here's the wife as she walks in microwave dismantled on dinner table: "What are you doing? Are you going to be able to put it back together and will it work again?" LOL 😆

1 thing that has been on my list is to have a place to hang out portable wifi router that would make it accessible to antenna and USB power for charging. The problem I had was that no one made such a wall mount. So what did I do???? I found a 3d print file and had a friend of mine 3d print one and going to install it soon... I really like the door idea. Also noticed that your bathroom door had snaps for traveling. Maybe add a couple of extra snaps and then you could snap on spacers for the bathroom door when you're not traveling.

For those asking. The glass front just lifts up and off. Four screws in front and the whole unit can be moved out. Remove all the screws on back. Remove panel. You can see the control board. Look and see a black round plastic with a hole in top and silver inside the hole. I used a screw from the back and screwed it into the hole till the squeaker stopped. Test buttons till stops. I left out the top center edge screw. Put together. Enjoy. 10 minutes project. (the glass if you look on inside edge has four post and the brackets on a 45 degree angle. Use two cut outs on glass for finger holes)

Love your fix to the "extra" grey dump. I will be doing the same thing on our Durango 1500. I did add a couple of 110, 12v, and usb power plugs in places that were obviously needed. Do these people even ask someone if the layout of plugs makes sense? We have the exact same fireplace and yes my first fix was to open it up and take out the piezo speaker. Yea no more beeps. Really who thought that was a good idea to add to the circuit ?! I also added a correctly sized stinky slinky holder. The bumper holders are useless with modern hoses. My solution was a plastic fence corner post and two tops. Mounted under the rig right next to the sewer dump with a long bolt and thumb nut to hold in place. It is long enough for a hose and extension - works fantastic and the hose never comes in the rig.

speaking of beeps, microwaves are really annoying in a small enclosed space. i'm a very early riser and very often i will very quietly reheat a cup of tea or coffee left over. but the MW is annoyingly loud, a beep for every button push and 3 or 4 beeps when it's done the one door in our trailer had a 4 inch gap top and bottom(bathroom door) plus it wouldn't open with the slideout closed, very annoying! i replaced the door and moved it 2 ft just like KZ should have done 15 years ago i added a switch to control the electrical heating part of water heater(just above the toilet) i've also added a couple more 120V outlets on a new circuit. the list goes on!

We have a dinette table with the traditional booth type seating. The only access to the space below the seating was by removing the cushions and lifting what looks like an unfinished piece of exterior plywood. Why no drawers under the seats. So i built two very long drawers, out of clear maple. Cut out the access piece and used that as the center of the drawer front, trimmed with some nice moulding. Now we have two huge drawers, 36" long. So long in fact that it can only be fully extended when the slide is out. But it's such a big piece of unusable space with out it.

I don’t full time in my trailer, vut I would put a Google Nest Wifi and a couple of speakers in it if I did. You can connect it to another WiFi router or wire it to a router with Ethernet cables. I like having 3 of those little speakers around the house, you get a little srereo effect and I control Phillips Hue lights in the living area and an outlet in the garage to automate my hot water recirc. Then when within hearing distance of any of the speakers, I say “hey Google, set MBR1 light to 50%” or “hey, google, play Christian Contemporary music on Pandora on all speakers” and it does my bidding. There’s a ton of things it can do, like local weather reports, maintain shopping lists, etc.

There’s one thing that will stop me from RVing full time. You are bound to run out of stuff to do. You’re not going exploring every day, not going to events everyday, not going out to eat or other things everyday. So there has to be a lot of down time. What do you do in these times? I would go a little crazy. I need to stay busy.

Relax, read, listen to music, play games, nap, watch TV, and on and on.

Do you have a video on killing the beeper on fireplace it drives our dog nuts.

I didn’t video it. It was just one night I was sick of it so I opened it up after exhausting all searching for a setting to silence and made sure to identify it was just the beeper.

Guess it's obvious when you look at it... That's the beeper... And you simply yanked it out?

At age 65, I've discovered that life is one big TWEAK. So not unusual you would be tweaking your new rig to a higher rate of comfort. Tweak On my friend. bill in Florida

All those gaps make the rig look unfinished and shame on the manufacturer! Sometime it makes you wonder if the designers have ever gone camping!!! I changed out one of the plug receptacles in my last camper and changed it to white. That way at night you can see where your plugging in instead of searching for the plug.

The gaps are unfortunate but I imagine they don’t want the slide to bind on any material they put there. We move the foam before operating the slide in or out.
