i know i say this a lot - but credit where its due - if there is one thing i really enjoy is these guys correcting other peoples attempts at putting a car right after an accident - ok i can understand poor work if its the owner 'having a go' - but if the owner paid someone to do this, its pretty unbelievable what people try to get away with - when you see what these guys do, they do make it look easy, but we all know there is a fair amount of time taken, constant checking, measuring and rechecking to make sure new and replacement parts fit, and a mass of skill involved in understanding the trade - the results before and after speak for themselves - great video guys, love your work

You are a smart guy so don't let simple fractions throw you. Half of 3/4 is half of 6/8 - so 3/8 ... Fractions solve to the smallest number for simplicity, but you can double the numerator and denominator (top and bottom) numbers and half, quarter, third, it, as you need. What is half of 3/8? See, easy.

Easiest way for figuring out half of a fraction is to multiply the bottom number (denominator) by 2 and keep the upper number (numerator) the same. Great work guys! 👍🏼👍🏼

Get yourself Stanley millimeter tape measure, All cars are built using millimeters and they are easier to divide. An 8 meter American made tape measure is available at Home Depot or Grainger.

easy way to figure out halves is double the denominator... 3/4 becomes 3/8 ... half of 5/8 is 5/16 etc. Great work on the car... it was pretty screwed up...Florida car says it all...

Great job, gentlemen…I always enjoy watching you “do it right”! A quick way to figure half of a tough fraction can be to convert the bottom number of the fraction to a larger number, then it’s easier to figure half of the upper number. For example, 3/4” also equals 6/8” (converting the bottom part to 8ths instead of 4ths), then divide the upper number of 6 in half, so the answer is 3/8”. I’m no math wiz, but over the years of metal and wood work, I’ve had to find methods that work for me.

To get the half of a fraction, you just have to twice its denominator. (for example : half of 3/4 is 3/8) And 1/8 +1/8 is 2/8, or 1/4

No worries, you got a lot of great teachers in the comments. When you divide a fraction in half you can either double the bottom number (denominator) while keeping the top one (numerator) the same or you can half the numerator while the denominator stays the same. In this case of 3/4, simply doubling the denominator gives 3/8. If you wanted to half the numerator instead you might get confused as 3 is an odd number. So simply double both numerator & denominator making 6/8 (when you multiply both top & bottom by the same numbers the fraction stays the same). Now take half of 6 and you have 3/8.

This hack job is exactly why wrecked vehicles sell for less. Usually bad repairs are hidden and no way to know unless parts are removed to show the bad repairs. Many times people get burned. Tks garage BMW is a good example. Bad repairs were just found while upgrading that car.
