Fixing Blocked drains on my 1996 Mercedes-Benz W202 [MGC Ep. 25]

Welcome to Benz Revival Episode 11! In today’s episode, I investigate and repair a few water leaks in my 1996 Mercedes-Benz W202. I go over the drainage system in the vehicle plus also the rear end. It’s a full days work but definitely worth the time and effort!

This car has been a pain to maintain I hate to love it lol my first car is a 98 c230 and it's in all honesty over engineered garbage but I just can't seem to stop trying to preserve it lol

Thank you man, I cleaned my gutter as I had the same problem and had not gotten around to figuring it out. Mud had blocked the drains and now it does not get water inside, I am fixing my blower again since the rain water damaged it.

Is there anything to do in regard to the slow drainage at the bottom of the gutter by the wheel? In very heavy rain this slow drainage resulted in my blower flooding. cheers!

same problem here, drainage mentioned in the video is clean, the problem is with draining water after it flows from this rubber cap from reservoir - im gonna look behind wheel arch

Thanks man, I have the same problem only this time it is in front on the driver's side coming from the open roof. The water leaks through the inside glass panel.on c200 Mercedes Benz 1996. Any ideas on how to stop it?

That is most likely due to worn rubber seals. Windscreen replacement will Solve the issue it shouldn’t be more than $100

I have a problem with my benz w202 , in the rear sets where you place the feet, it seems to collect water and also i have found some water in the spare tire . Do you have any idea what the problem can be? I have checked the door seals and they seem to be fine .

Through the sunroof (pretty sure you have one in your Merc) have it checked and cleaned

My w202 1995 is showing some faint white smoke from the exhaust after starting all most all the time for some seconds then later disappear, what is the causes cos i am afraid, i dont want to loose my special baby

If it disappears then it’s maybe moisture in the exhaust on cold mornings. If it’s lots of white smoke it usuallly points to a coolant leak possibly a leaking head gasket. It can be sorted, you just need a good independent mechanic who knows these engines
