Fixing Drainage Issues - Catch Basins - Channel Drains

In this video we are working to fix an existing system that had the catch basins installed wrong. The patio deck channel drains could not empty correctly into the drainage system causing the patio and porch to flood.

I have the opposite problem, the catch basins are too low, and dirt flows from the yard into them. Is there a way to build them up a bit? I had an extra slatted drain cover that I put on top of one catch basin.
