Didn’t know that existed. Wow... thanks. Digging your videos. I am currently waiting for my rock guards from ZL1. Just watched you video on the installation. I have a ZL1. I probably will have to take off my rear chunky tire. Great content!!

Thanks for the comments and glad that the videos are useful for you. Yeah, the rear wheel on a 1LE or ZL1 is more likely to need to come off unless you have very low profile tools to work with. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe!

@hotcamaro9145 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! I had to use Translate, so I may have the question a little wrong. I believe you mentioned you have a 2017, charged the battery, and found it was losing charging somewhat quickly. You had it looked at and they found a 6A current draw that was draining the battery. You asked if something was maybe bad or if something might need to be reset. If I have that right... That's a fairly high current draw for when the car is off. My car will slowly lose charge over time if I don't have it on a tender / maintainer, but it takes a few months to drop low enough to where it sees the battery as basically dead. I would suggest starting by looking for any modifications you've done or items you've added (LED light swaps, dash cam, etc.). Try completely unplugging all of those to see if the draw stops then re-connect them one at a time until you find the culprit. If the car is completely stock, then something has gone bad and is causing issues. You'll need the help of a dealer or a quality auto electrical shop to track it down unless you can find a chewed / burned wiring harness somewhere (rodent damage is another common issue with electrical problems). Hope that helps!

i have a 2017 camaro ss and doesnt have the option for update, also have another question when i plug my usb my phone says something about update

Thanks for the comment / question! I believe the radios were changed in 2019 and this was the first year that offered the interface and options that I show in this video. I believe the radio in your 2017 uses software more similar to what's in my 2015 Silverado - all updates have to be done by the dealer. For the phone / USB item - I don't have any guesses on that since it's a different radio.

For me it says last checked on 1/1/1970 and doesnt show any new update
@hotcamaro91453 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. If it shows that date, I would interpret that to mean it has never checked. Can you force it to check for updates manually and see if the date update? Is the date/time set correctly on the car?

I have a 2018 Camaro RS full options with 8 inch screen and apple car play but i don't have ( Update Button ) in the settings also i can't use wireless apple car play is there any solution 🙂?
@hotcamaro91452 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! I believe that the software changed either in 2019 or 2020 model year (this video is a 2020), which could explain the differences. As far as wireless AA / Car Play goes, that wasn't offered native until 2021. There are add-on adapters ("dongles") that can enable that function for you. You would want to be sure you find the correct one for your needs (Android Auto and Apple Car Play use different adapters, so you need the correct one based on the phone type). Hope that helps!

In order for Apple Car Play / Android Auto to be available, you would need to have the 8" radio (standard radio is the 7"). Also, the software interface on the 2019 and up will look like mine (2020 model year) while the prior ones aren't the same. Maybe those are the reasons yours looks different?

Does anyone know how long it should take when you shut off the car, before the MyLink system lights shut off? Will this drain your battery?…mine remains lit up for 10 minutes..nothing else is on! Car is off . Thanks
@hotcamaro91452 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! The car has a feature called Retained Accessory Power that keeps certain things operational (radio, windows, convertible top, etc.) for up to ten minutes after you turn the car off. If you open the driver's door during this time, everything shuts down immediately. If your radio stays on even after opening the driver's door, that's a signal to you that there's a software update waiting for you to install! Don't forget to like and subscribe!
