Fixing INACCURATE LEGO Harry Potter Minifigures! (Purist Customs)

Personally, I used Frodo's Hair for Neville, since it's darker and curly like those two films. Some changes I've personally made: I changed Tom Riddle's hair to the black curly one from the BTS set, (which also comes in the quidditch trunk). Gilderoy Lockhart's hair is the same as Colin's. I gave McGonigal a Dark Grey bun instead. I changed Draco's older face to Frodo's from Rivendell (this was before Lego made an original for him), and gave him Han Solo's Older white shirt (the one without the wrinkles) from the skiff/sail barge, to reflect the sectumsepmra scene. I believe I also gave Cho Tina Goldstein's face (again before the latest one), to match more to her actual skin tone.

In the book it says Dobby has tennisball eyes and the old headpiece really has them. Well done.

For the Bellatrix I would have used the friends dark brown hair piece instead and bent the wand to make it even better

Lol I was scared but I cut a brown wand and used some small tape and made Ron's broken wand and I just bent a black wand for Bellatrix they are really bendy

Honestly, for that first Neville fig, the newer Harry hair from 2018 on would work perfectly in dark brown... but that doesn't exist. Anakin's hair is a pretty good match too, though. For Seamus, I feel like the Will Byers hair from the Stranger Things set would be perfect.

According to the ref pics I used from POA, Nevilles hair is much more ruffled and longer from the back which is why I found Anakins hair much more fitting than legos ‘bob cut’ For Seamus, literally any hair piece is better than the spikes lego gave him lol 😂 I tried giving him a common and practical piece that works and most ppl would have in their collections rather than Wills which is much harder to come by!

@@SwiftBricks Fair. The Anakin piece definitely works for that Neville. Yeah, Will's hairpiece wouldn't realistically be used by LEGO for Seamus, so the Mutt hair does work too. I would like to see LEGO stop using that hairpiece so much though.

Usually purist customs don't impress me, but beyond some minor exceptions almost all of these are absolute improvements!

Great improvements on these minifigs. When you show the pictures the "fixed" figs look much better. I agree that the Borgin fig from the accessory pack could actually work as Scriminger .

Great fixing, but I’m a little fed up with Lego for doing the job badly in the first place! We need someone who cares to advise Lego to be the consultant on all things Potter Lego, and I really do think it should be you!😊🐍💚

I actually disagree with the Dobby fix. I prefer the printed head to the molded one, because it gives them a more consistent style with all the normal minifigure heads, and a consistent style is more important in my opinion. (Unless it's literally the whole point, like Into the Spider-Verse)
