Rather then spending a whole bunch of bucks, I decided to take a more cost effective approach to common annoyances.

I run the same jagwire cable holder, it came with another bike but I couldn't find it anywhere else. The rubber ducky is a nice addition lol.

I found the clips at my lbs, as well as “worldwidecyclery.com”. So i wanted to give it a try. The ducky was for pure enjoyment lol, thanks.

5'10" SQ2 sized large owner here as well. Sometimes I feel very cramped on the bike. Did the shorter crank set help with this cramped feeling? I am wondering what else can be done to help this
@RomansDowntime
@RomansDowntime 2 жыл бұрын
Well, I literally cannot put the seat post any lower (it’s slammed). So unless I wanted a shorter dropper which would be incredibly expensive, my only option was to shorten the cranks. Before I honestly felt like I was stretching to reach the lowest point. So shorter cranks were the next choice (as the stock one was ok at best). I feel like its a better fit for me, and I’m no longer feeling that stretch at the lowest point.

@@RomansDowntime Sounds like the bike was too big for you. Should of opted for the M size. You can always size up but you can't size down.

Hi. What is your fork spec's, (travel, offset, axle to crown) and how it feels? I will be glad to your answer. because I can't decide which fork to choose for my Marin-SQ.

Hi. If i remember its a 140 mil at a 37 offset. Feels good, bike can handle anything input it through and then some.

We just ordered the 2022 San Quentin 1 ... And now I'm stressing over this 2023 . THERE'S LESS THAN A $250 PRICE DIFFERENCE FOR THE 2023 - Should we cancel the 2022 and pay for the 2023 ?
@RomansDowntime
@RomansDowntime Жыл бұрын
That up to you, personally I probably wouldn’t if I saved $250. I know I’m happy with my current model for sure.

@@RomansDowntime brother thank you but I wasn't asking for permission I was asking for input
@RomansDowntime
@RomansDowntime Жыл бұрын
@@Juno_Beach there must have been some confusion. The 2022 / 2023 models share almost identical components, and the biggest difference is the geometry. So, its really up to you to determine your value on that. Thats being said, if it were me, and I were saving $250 with the 2022 model. I would buy the 2022 and buy a dropper with the money i saved.

@@RomansDowntime yeah but now I'm seeing the large isn't big enough for 6-ft riders and at least want to upgrade to an extra large 2022 / THANK YOU FOR THE UPGRADE DETAILS, this is all very new to me.
@RomansDowntime
@RomansDowntime Жыл бұрын
@@Juno_Beach I see what your saying. I can tell you on the 2022 model, if the size L was any larger it would have been to big for me and I am 5’10. I am not sure about the new model though. I would double check the return policy if you feel its too small for you when you try it out. Maybe you could return and exchange it for a larger model. Wish you the best of luck bro!

@@RomansDowntime I have the 2022 SQ3 I immediately removed the ugly cheap rubber that Marin had put on the chainstay and replaced it with a Reverse neoprene protector , never heard a single slap , but also have a Deore rear derrailuer that has the chain tensioner switch this also makes a big difference. ps : any neoprene chain stay protector works as long as its a decent company like race face , lizard skin etc its a set it and forget it thing.
