Hi Ben, your brother certainly can weld and I like the collaboration between you two. I’ve followed you for years so when I first saw Yuri I may have underestimated his potential. However my view has completely changed over the last year and I now see he is also extremely gifted as are the rest of your brothers. Stay blessed y’all 🙏
@Moises-kf1hg2 жыл бұрын
Yuri is extremely talented. If you look back at old old OLD goonzquad vidoes, you’ll see him on some of them. Somehow I found an old vlogging KZbin channel of his where he swapped a quarter panel on a scion. His skills are top notch, but his social skills are even better. He seemed to glow wherever he went

It never ceases to amaze me how skilled you are at body work; what takes most shops a week you seem to tackle in a day. Keep up the quality videos and great work!
@rimfire26422 жыл бұрын
Seeing what Ben can do makes me wonder if so many cars aren't totalled needlessly? Part of me thinks that even as excellent as job as Ben does there could possibly be things that happen in a major accident that can't be repaired, for example maybe even just wiring being stressed in a way it wouldn't be. So you do this excellent frame and body work but the car still becomes problematic after a couple years on the road due to gremlins. Or does that NOT happen, and for example the Suburu Ben repaired recently which to me literally does seem like to be "as good as new" would last another 20 years and 200k miles and not exhibit additional weird little issues that haunt the car the rest of it's life?
@mixalis61682 жыл бұрын
@@rimfire2642 Many can be repaired, totalled due cost, panel shops charge a lot !!
@rimfire26422 жыл бұрын
@@mixalis6168 After thinking about it a while I think it's a double-edged sword. While I do think there are the possibilities of a car developing gremlins. I think it's also a matter of supply and demand. Ben for example often uses good but used parts. If more "totalled" cars were repaired, this would quickly dry up resulting in the need to focus more on new parts. Also, there is the matter of timeliness. One reason some repair place may prefer to use new parts is they (well other than the crappy state of our economy/supply chain issues) is knowing parts are available in a timely manner and a shop doesn't have dozens (and dozens) cars waiting for parts, meanwhile the car's owner is dealing with no car. So I can see many reasons why "totaling" is the way it is and how it would probably in most cases be better off to total out and not repair.
@iamyourfuture8082 жыл бұрын
Quarter panel Meister
@PatricioGarcia19732 жыл бұрын
@@rimfire2642 not all cars get totaled. It depends on the value of the car. A base car will definitely get totaled, while something like an M5, M3, AMG Mercedes, or any high end car will be repaired. Plus insurance allows the use of used or aftermarket repair panels to lower the cost of the repair. This car in good shape costs at least 45k while parts to fix including all the air bags and modules probably 12-15k. Say you buy the car for 10k, plus 15k for repair parts and he does the work himself, he has a 45k car for 25K.

Any body shop willing to pay i-cars outrageous prices can get certified, I am one as well but imo it is nothing special. I love v-tuned but he is far from professional and before you get mad let me explain my reasoning; - BMW doesn’t allow splices beside the fuel door and especially not used quarter panels and structural panels since that car will never perform like it once did. - not once in the video did I see a tram gauge measurement or oem repair manuals being followed, this was a cut and shut job. There is a very fine line between a professional and a mediocre job and in my humble opinion this quarter job although amazing was really mediocre.

I-CAR is not a certifying organization it is only a training organization. Only the vehicle manufacturer car certify an individual or shop for repairs to their vehicles. I-CARs stance on vehicle repairs is to follow OEM procedures which none of this is

No! You're so wrong about the v8 engine being the "real" M3. I've had a 6 cyl E46, a V8 E92 and a 6 cyl F80. The V8 was by far the worst engine of the 3. A "proper" M3 should be a 6 cylinder howler - it always was, and it always should be. The V8 was the odd one out, and a mistake. High revving, straight 6 is the correct engine for an M3.

Nice job. I got a 2007 6 speed manual Turbo Diesel Saloon BMW, owned from brand new fully loaded uprated solid billet ceramic coated hybrid turbo fitted and only got 57k miles from new! That's my keeper! Also got an e46 turbo diesel same engine and gearbox same Titan silver colour that's only got 125k miles from new that's my daily(weekly) driver lol.. both bullet proof and shot up in value recently! Best cars you can buy, solid as a rock and the turbo diesels good for up to a million miles main dealer said he seen 2 with million miles on original engine and manual gearbox same as mine so that's good enough for me lol 😅👍 Anyhow great to see your work and being thorough with the repair! Great stuff and keep it up! Nothing worse that when you see people who don't do a proper (factory OEM level or better) job on repairs etc.. nice one! That cars going to look MINT! Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!!!
