I had a 2003 ML500 , loved it and sold it at 163K still strong. Now I have a ML320 from 2002 , its a black beast. Amazing engine at 130K still runs like new. No codes stored in the module. Love these cars. Sold my ML500 about 2 years ago and I missed my ML500 so much I bought this one. Great on gas and very powerful. Great looking SUV.

When the ML goes in limp mode sometimes it is a cam position sensor. Easy fix.

Our transfer case/box is our weak point if you force it. Change the oil regularly and to the gearbox also. Also change the oil for differentials

Do you change oil separately in the transfer case than in the gearbox oil

@@bekabeka71 Yes. They are totally separate, they aren't connected each other. And depends how much you use one or other, you can make "shorter" the oil change in one.

@@bekabeka71 The first. Did you change the oil? Completly or without "washing". Is you don't wash, you need to do at least 2 oil changes, with filter and connector. You can write me in private.
