I had to replace a tank yesterday, I am not a fan of plumbing I just do it to save the bucks.

@@PipesAndChores just the fill valve luckily. Now I need to tackle the exhaust vent in my bathroom. That stopped working

A job well done if not altogether inspiring 😉 Let's face it disassembling a toilet doesn't give you a lot of bragging rights, does it? I've been there with the flush assembly. After realizing that the flapper valve needed to be replaced on one of our toilets, I picked one up the next time I was out near a home store. It was the same story - too small. Universal wasn't universal. Funnily enough, the correct size was also labeled universal. Apparently 'universal' doesn't have quite the meaning we think that it does. It has been a mostly unnoticed changed, but you don't see 'one size fits all' anymore. It's 'one size fits most'. 🙄 Best that all is going well for you and a great weekend awaits you. Skipton95 Haha, I guess they can play the semantics card with that terminology. “Your toilet wasn’t in the right universe for this kit!” One-size-fits-all is too straightforward and they’d be liable to give a refund.
