Another interesting vlog. I bet you're ready for the heat and drought to be over. The pond will be a real centerpiece of your land.

I was very impressed with your skill since you are not a professional with the equipment. Keep up the good work. I will enjoy watching you finish up the pond.

I think you're doing just fine. I think that some of the experienced guys forget is that they were green once. We all have to start somewhere. I was the same way you are now when I first got in one of these. You will improve with more seat time. I think this gives beginners more confidence to operate a mini. Hand-eye coordination and getting the feel for the controls is key.

I think that you are doing a great job at operating your excavator. I rented one the other weekend for some work at my house. After a few minuets I picked up on how to move both controls at the same time. I worked at a sawmill as a millwright for 12 years. We had a guy in the log yard that operated a large logging shovel, I think it was a 120, every day. He could never learn how to operate both controls together. Only one a t a time. It was always painful to see him operate it. I used the logging shovel a few times at night. Man that thing is fun. Seriously powerful. Anyways great videos.

JD doing good! If you were more experienced you would have driven the mini into the pond and reached into the pile of clay then spun it around to place the clay along side the edges. To get out you slope the clay to a steep ramp and used the bucket and arm to push you up the ramp.

I enjoy watching the mini excavator work. If I could justify the cost, I would by one tomorrow. I just don't have enough work to keep it busy. I do have a Kubota BX23S with backhoe and it works just fine. A little light in the power, but it just takes me a bit longer. Love your videos. Keep up the great content.

JD- I’m in the same boat. Learning how to operate my CAT 306. Please share any best practices. Watched some videos but I think I the best training is sitting you rear end in the seat and tear into things🤣

Hope you don't mind that I fast forwarded thru some of the excavating. Like anything you will get faster the more comfortable with the controls and capability limits on your mini. I did like the video...👍

You should make it much deeper and turn it into a koi pond. Better yet, turn it into a swimming pool. Think how good that would feel during those hot and humid days!

Here in Germany it's called a Männerspielzeug, a men's toy... Well, actually, I'd love to play with this toy myself. Not sure if I'd be of much help but it would be great fun. Best wishes from Bavaria 🙋🏻♀️

Awesome! You might have mentioned it on a previous video, but did the property already have a water well or did you install one? Asking because I'm looking for recommendations for water well companies in the Coastal Bend area for a well in Flour Bluff. Keep up the great ranch improvement content !

Ours was installed before we purchased the property.

JD did you ever get your boom lights figured out?

I think you are doing a great job. Just a little confused, you just paid that guy to put all that clay in the pond and now you are taking it out so you can spread it around the edges. Why didn't he just move it around the edge of the pond with his skid steer?

I only removed the 2 dump truck loads that made the ramp. There is 2 loads that line the bottom

Don't let anyone talk down to you. For only 36 hours, looks real good. For fun, look up undress woman with excavator on you tube. That guy is really awesome.
