How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a KZbin channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

In construction we call that hand work. Nice weather today in California. No need for firewood or a wood yard here. Love Ya Bud.

Consider keeping a couple ploy wedges and 4# when cutting trees, might b just enough to get bar outta a pinch, plus the poly wedges won't damage your chain

Consider getting one of those dual tire kits so you can run 8 tires on the Gator for more flotation.

I have found that by putting a short felling wedge into the cut while cutting up a downed tree will stop the saw from getting pinched.

A monumental task, good job Ryan 👍🏾 I have seen a usual operation in the fields recently a field by me was worked up yesterday, today it was harrowed an than a low profile pull type sprayer came in an sprayed the field down. Now, I know there’s rock galore but I don’t think that was it for 😄 but nothing planted yet. , What’s that about? My. Information on farming has long passed.

Get a winch for the gator, if the saw gets stuck and it's your only one, Shut off (of course). Pull with gator, to pull in a different direction get a snatch block that matches the wire and use a holmes tree (tree or stump to pull from. Double the cable if you need more torque if you have it long enough. Search ron Pratt holmes tree! Yeah leave that tree alone get help.

With now mad you’ve displayed with this highland bull I expected better fencing on your half I truly believe it’s a 50/50 problem you’ve got a old fence and neighbours got a bull looking for greener grass maybe time for some tree clearing and a fresh fence

As saying goes, Good fences made for good neighbors. You neighbor is not being a good one allowing all those trees to grow up with out keeping the fence line clear.

Ryan, love the videos. But please don't do chainsaw work in blue jeans and rubber boots and by yourself. Get some chaps and wear heavy boots and preferably work with a buddy. Chainsaw accidents happen too easily.
