Before Mounting the Polaris Sportsman 500 front shocks on the Venn Venture, they are in need of a good cleaning. Filled with mud and grass, the bearings are sludged up. Additionally, on the outside the amount of dried dirt and clay is so stuck on that even a pressure washer couldn't get it off. After many many hours of using a wire brush, I finally get a wire wheel out and get is nice and aluminum silver again. Repainting the rusted cast iron hubs too make it look a few decades newer.
If you need some ideas on removing and reseating ball joints, I cover that too here.
