You should button up every little janky thing you've done to the hatch one day or two and make a video of it, like running wires correctly tidying up the bay a little ect. Would make for a dope video and you wont have the headache of little things going wrong anymore (:

Nice work Kyle. That bracket was a tight fit. S14 sounds awesome too! In my opinion people really underestimate how much good voltage affects a car. I replaced my alternator once from a Chinese replacement to OEM and gained 3 MPG. Nothing else on the car changed, so an alternator can make a difference!

802 Garage a local guy i helped out one time he rebuilt his car over a winter and couldnt get it to start for 6 months. I came to his house and added 1 ground after 15 minutes of diagnosing the car and we fired it up and drove it. Lol he was so happy man.

You have voltage problems because you turbo HP guys don't listen to the car audio guys and upgrade your primary wiring and grounds lol you're tripling the HP it's going to draw more current. Not more than your stock alternator can provide, but more than your stock wiring can provide. 4 awg OFC to the alternator from battery, 4 awg OFC from battery ground to block by alternator, and also 4 awg OFC ground to the frame/chassis. Fuel pump wiring is already upgraded but it needs a good ground

Mitchell Roberts shit. I started with car audio and went to building cars. Even though my car was slow as hell compared to these guys i had 1/0 welding cable primary and several grounds lol. I try to overkill everything. I want everything to work as efficiently as possible. Even though it was a stock b20b with a si LSD trans running on a stock p75 in a stripped crx i ran 13.66 with slicks and 14.2 on street tires.. no power adders.

Where the alternator bracket comes close to your manifold you should put a tab there and use it to support the manifold to keep it from cracking just a thought and when it heats up it might expand and hit it so it would help to stop it from rattling off that bolt but hey it’s just a thought thought I’d share love your videos bro

Bro you need the front balance shaft seal retainer. You might have a pre-recall H22. Those seals are notorious for popping out and pissing oil. Google it. People have lost all oil in under 30 seconds because of that $12 retainer being missing/ or never installed aftee recall

Don't worry about over voltage until it gets above 15. Most cars need an extra volt or two to actually charge the battery since the current will not flow from another 12.6vdc source. If the bracket breaks again make your own out of steel. You're finding out one of the weaknesses of Al as the vibration is causing fatigue failure. A common problem.

If you had the other alternator hooked up with all wires, the cars ELD will regulate the voltage. I found this out a few years back w/ my first gen crv when I thought the alternator was getting weak, since it was only in the 13v range. They don't run 14v all the time as a means of boosting power/efficiency.

The injectors and boost control solenoid are very sensitive to voltage. The magnafuel 4303 in there also draws a ton of amperage.

If you are running a stock crank pulley maybe that's a issue putting more tension on the belt for some reason... maybe at high rpm the rubber vibrates or something..idk probably not but just a thought

It would absolutely affect your tune because it changes how much fuel the pump can push and the ignition will fall off from lack of voltage as well.

you shouldn't wrap that wire around the harness, you'll get induction on the wrapped wire, and may cause an issue with the alternators internals due to the over voltage. just run it as parallel to the other wires as you can.

Do the big 3 upgrade! We use them for car audio but I bet it would make a world of difference and fix you voltage issues. With the broken bracket you don't get a good ground and can cause all sorts of issues. The new parts look good but EXO Contralto has a good vid explaining how to do the Big 3. I do it on every car I own no matter if I have car audio in it or not. I normally go from 14 to 14.2 volts up to 14.6 - 14.8. It take about an hour to do total.

Prob designed for na h22 swaps. That exhaust was real close. Maybe that caused the cracking.

Put a filter on your turbo Kyle! The guy David Freidburger from Roadkill does a show called Engine Masters and literally they lost only 2 hp with the most restrictive filter. They lost about .5 hp for the oiled filter, and then they have a filter that is just a metal mesh to protect the engine from big chunks, made for running at the track or the Dyno. But honestly running no filter on your turbo is honestly the dumbest thing you can do, garuntee you cut the life of your engine in half not using a filter... All for 2 hp max? Not worth it in the slightest

You're going to have way more consistency in the tune. I guarantee you the fluctuation of voltage is giving you some problems if not all of them lately. Oh and check the whole car over real quick look for loose shit that way it doesn't come loose while you're doing a 150.
