Corey, I would recommend investing in a radiator pressure testing kit if you are going to keep helping stranded motorists, it hooks up to the radiator or on some vehicles the overflow tank and you pump up the pressure to the work pressure listed on the radiator cap, when the system is pressurized it makes finding the leak way easier and doesn’t cause damage like trying to run the engine to pressurize to cooling system.

Its common in Upstate New York due to the salt. It feels even better when they offer money knowing that it may be all they have but I counter with a hug or a hand shake instead. I do this all the time. I also also do Uber eats on the side. So I’m always seeing cars broke down on the side of the road and I always stop and help. All my tools are on me. I’ve been working on cars since I was a kid. I actually got so blessed by doing this one wealthy kid actually gave me his car that I fixed up and I have now. He gave me a convertible with only 60,000 miles on it. Just because I stopped and helped him because the tire flew off.

This was my dream! I wanted to get a 4x4 and kit it out with tools and lights and then stop and help people whenever I can. I started building my tools up but then I had a medical problem and I’m now disabled and use a wheelchair. I still went ahead and got a 4x4 (mainly to be able to carry my wheelchair) and put a small supply of tools in the boot. I have also added emergency strobe lighting to the front and rear and I often stop at stranded vehicles, activate all my amber emergency lights to highlight the scene and see if there’s any tools I can offer to get them going again. I am still hopeful that one day I’ll be able to ditch my wheelchair and get back on my feet and be able to help more people. I know what I do right now isn’t much but having the scene highlighted with emergency lights offers them a safety barrier which they otherwise wouldn’t have until their own help arrives. Loved this video and I hope it inspires more people to help others where they can. Hod bless you

When I had my first car in the late 90's I got a flat and pulled over to the side of the interstate to change it because I had everything I needed to do it. Unfortunately I bought the car used and didn't know the jack was rusted. No one stopped for a long time, but eventually someone in a brand new Dodge Ram stopped and let me use their jack. I still had to put wood under the jack so it would lift my 89 Ford Probe high enough to change the tire. He was grateful that he stopped to help because he learned that the jack that came with the truck would have never touched the bottom of his truck had he needed to change his own flat. Sometimes stopping to help someone can be beneficial for you outside the feelings of a good deed.

“We have every single tool, to help anybody out, at anytime!” That’s a quote from the beginning of the video… you weren’t even faced with any mildly challenging issues. You guys are out “fixing peoples cars”, with nothing more than a cheap little OBD2 reader (that you’re plugging of course). I understand they’re trying to help, and that’s super nice. As a mechanic I see way too many customers who let people work on their cars who didn’t have the correct knowledge and ended up making things worse. If you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t even try, it’s a liability. In the beginning of the video you said you’re “armed with every tool needed”, and you guys couldn’t solve anything more than a flat tire. It’s honorable what you’re attempting, but let’s be honest, this was about using the sponsored product.
@WorldWendell
@WorldWendell Ай бұрын
It stinks that good comments like this are pushed to the BOTTOM of the comment section… You are 100% right, this video was manufactured around the sponsorship instead of the other way around. Someone with good intentions goes “I have a good idea for a video, how can I fit a sponsor into it?” Someone with bad intentions goes “I have a sponsor… now how do I make a video? 😂”

Man please let this video be for real. Buying a vehicle is a big expense and maintaining it can be costly to and not everyone has extra income to spend on break downs. Look I know mechanics need to make a living but sometimes I believe they charge way to much just because they know people will have to pay it because they need their car. So if this video is true and your genuinely helping people for no cost then I hope everything that's good will come into your lives and you never have to struggle for your needs to be met. 7:10 the most likely cause is the battery being discharged. Instead of the alternator supplying voltage to the battery (which powers everything) it was being discharged / drained. So his vehicle kept going until system failure happened due to improper voltage supply for the vehicle's battery to work properly. Improper voltage supply = Not enough Current (Amps) and too high resistance (the impedance to current)

I don’t know that much about cars, but the only thing I could imagine that would cause the hummer to stop working is if the ECU was all screwed up, for those who don’t know that the part of the car that regulates how the engine runs to put it into simple terms. But I think that issue is mostly apparent when your alternator isn’t supplying enough electricity to the ECU, which is just a computer. Yet again, it could be a blow head gasket or just the fact that the car was low on oil and he ruined his pistons.

ford f-150 will get a cold solder in the junction box (fuse box) or their are 3 fusses inside . check those onboard fuses. if one or all these have failed , you will defiantly have stalling and not starting.

That dude in the hummer is exactly why driver's ed should make you learn how to check your fluid levels and change a tire. That hummer motor was dead in the water due to lack of maintenance, so sad.

As a full time mechanic I try my best to do this where I can. My car’s trunk stays stocked with tools. I call it my service van. (It’s a hatchback)

CARLY told you what's wrong with it... "Camshaft B - Position Timing - Over Advanced - Bank #1 - BE CAREFUL". You were right to suggest it may just be the sensor, so you could have gone and bought him a new sensor and if that didn't fix it, then it was most likely the Camshaft Timing. In which case a TOW would be very helpful. Learning while spreading the love.....

Obsolutely HATE bluetooth OBD devices. I've had 3 or 4 different ones, and after some time they all stopped connecting because of some weird update or out of date. Reddit forums for 2 of them that helped the first time, but not the 2nd time. I'll go with my normal scan tool everytime.
