I have an H23A '02 Accord I will want tuned. However I'm having trouble setting the base ignition timing as 6G Accords don't have a service connector. Any tips?
@sagittnet2158 Жыл бұрын
Is your swap obd1 or obd2? If obd2 swapped, you can use a obd2 port and use a scanner to set your timing. If your distributor is obd1, you can use your feel instict, start by setting the distributor ear at the center and incremently adjust it advance or retard and drive it till you feel the motor are running correctly.

what setup did you use to get the acura caliper to fit on.
@sagittnet2158 Жыл бұрын
98 Acura CL knuckle hub bearing assy, but you can just use CL hub/ bearings if you wish. It just happened that I found a whole shebang! I got FFC bracket but l went w/ Fastbrakes.com bracketry coz in my opinion it's much better, they have centic rings included. FFC sell a plug n play front rotors so as fastbrakes. Make sure to email Fastbrakes first to inquire and tell them what your setup and they'll direct you to what you need. I'm using a Honda Pilot rotors (13") and use a spacer and slight modified the caliper to accept the disk. I did it to properly placed the caliper to the curvature of the rims.

just got a 95 accord ex sedan and im wanting to h22 swap it , what all do i need to get started ?
@sagittnet21582 ай бұрын
H22 swap on Accord is pretty much plug n' play, It can get confusing when it comes to ecu and w/c fuel injectors to use. You can use 92-2001 H22 (H22a4) long block but since your car is OBD1 stay obd1 on your setup to prevent confusion. Use your 95 EX engine harness and before you disconnect it from your F22, put a masking tape on the connector and mark it. That way you'll know w/c sensor it came off from. You can lengthen it or unloom the wire and it should have enough slack to reach the sensor for iacv. Your ex harness need a few wiring, Knock sensor, IAB and you need to swap the 2 wires A6 and A11 at ecu end plug. You can always google search it to find out more info. Use P13 ECU and Obd1 H22 345cc injectors and it'll require a resistor w/c your car already have it. Engine mounts, EX rear mount is different than other Accord model. It has 4 bolts rather than 3, make sure to get the correct engine mount for the rear and use your existing rear T bracket. Tranny side, use existing mount and bracket. Driver side. Use H22 post mount w/ H22 engine mount for Accord. Hasport or innovative will be nice if you wish. Axle, use your existing driveshaft and intermediate shaft. I will include using P28 ecu and hardware seperate to prevent confusion.
@sagittnet21582 ай бұрын
Using P28 ecu and staying obd1. Use your EX engine harness and no need to add any wires for iab and knock sensor coz p28 is not seeing those sensor. A6 and a11 still need to be swap. When using chip P28 ecu, you can use H22 obd1 345cc (peak n hold) injectors w/ resistor or obd2 H22a4 265cc ( hi impedance injectors) and resistor is not needed anymore. You have to connect all the injector wires at the resistor side when using hi impedance injectors. Also you'll need a chip w/ h22 fuel base map in order for it to run.
@sagittnet21582 ай бұрын
You probably confuse already, you can always go to Honda-tech,com for more info. It's not a hard swap to do, you just really need to put your mind into it. The ecu and injectors are the items that really require some thinking coz if you accidentally use a injectors that require need a resistor or vice versa, you can do some damage on ecu. Make sure to put a marking on IAT , Iacv and EVap purge solenoid connectors coz it so easy to x cross those connectors and damage to ecu will occur. Once you gather all your parts, you can always leave a msg and l'll help you out.

Time 13:16 in video.. do you have a video on why this bolt was loose?
@sagittnet2158 Жыл бұрын
I don't know why it's loose, got this head from the yard and sent to machine shop to get it shaved. But it was the source of the leak, man l tell you, 3× trying to fix the water neck that l thought was the problem and found it was a loose bolt is a tremendous good feeling man. The bolt is a plug for the oil pressure port. That's the port to check for oil pressure.
@ChingPowNyeOhh Жыл бұрын
@@sagittnet2158 care to do some investigation with me? Could that port be used for turbo? Could make you a video testing pressures at temperatures, seeing if available for turbo setups.
@sagittnet2158 Жыл бұрын
@@ChingPowNyeOhh Thought about it like you before l put my topmount but l refrain from doing it coz l dont want to loose any oil pressure for the vtec system. I dont think it will, but it's better to reserve it for just checking. You can try if you like, and if you feel there was a difference on how your engine behave, you can always tap your oil source at the back.
