Is there gaskets for those adapters? Or do you re-use old ones? Are there even gaskets at all?

Yeah there are gaskets that go between the turbo and the adapters. I think I bought it with the gaskets when I ordered them. But I really can't remember

Yo bro theses nothing for my naturally aspirated 3.5 v6 anyway I can do a eco boost adapter

Yo dude, I'm about to install the SPD adapters and down pipes on my Tremor, I didn't get the install kit though. Did you have any issues with the studs or gaskets? Is the stud removal just for ease of install? Or do the studs like to strip?? I have the Ford Performance Tremor exhaust and it's mega easy to uninstall to get out it out of the way. The lift kit also gave me a ton of room under the truck so space isn't an issue as far as I can tell. I thought about doing videos on the "Full send" im doing on the truck, but its seems like you're already on it 😜

So the stud remover works really well, but it will mess up the threads a little so you should probably use new studs. If you use the double nut method, you could save the studs if you are careful. I did have issues getting access to the nuts that hold on the downpipes. But I also have 3 inch downpipes which might have made it more difficult.

@@NSQGarage Ah, I didn't understand the "sandwhich" of parts going on with the adapters. Does that 3/8 socket they provide not do anything? I have one of those stud extractors already from my 335i, just trying to not spend another $120 on studs, gaskets and nuts lol

@@Smokkedandslammed totally understand not wanting to spend a bunch of money you don't need to. Your other stud extractor may work. You would have to try and see I guess

Any opinion on the slightly larger AMS turbo adapters? Did you notice any exhaust sound difference when you added the adapters?

well dang, i didn't even know those existed. i guess if they are bigger, they would flow more. also stainless steel might be nice. as far as my SPDs, i definitely have more turbo noise when coming off throttle and when crusing at low rpm

@@NSQGarage it may be a negligible difference, I have yet to see a side by side comparison. My dream is to have the ams adapters and a fullrace downpipe for extra turbo scream lol

@@Coltography nice. i have solo performance downpipes. i can definitely hear the turbos. i am sure the FR stuff is sick too.

Will be installing the ams adapter with cvf dp to atack borla on my 16 eb limited, so far installed ams turbo inlet tubes to snb intake. Got the intercooler from injen, throttle spacer and also added throttle control that thing is sweet a must in my book. Sound from the ams inlet tube was great for sure can feel the difference in air going to turbos.

@@NSQGarage I just bought the spd adapters I was going to go with ams BUT… forged steel is what spd uses for the adapters that’s stronger then stainless also I’m kinda jaded a dude on Facebook had his ams adapters split because of cold weather it was -30 out and he was pushing it there may be a small difference maybe 2+ hp in ams but I’ll stick with spd

With the turbo spooling faster with less flow restrictions, does the ECM have to remap itself, or do you do that?

I haven't noticed a need for a retune since I finished the mods. I think the computer can handle the changes, especially with the vacuum controlled wastegate.
