I'd say you'd need to look at the steering ball joints as well as the king pins. If they have gone, it's an easy fix, but it will cost you a couple of days to put it right. Rear linkage can be a problem on the top lift arm shaft. If there is a lot of wear, the linkage can end up tilting side to side. Check the cab heater and ac works. Not big problems if they aren't working as everything is located under the seat. Get underneath and check the transmission. See how wet it might be. Check all the gears work. Depending on your spanner skills, you can do the gearbox repairs yourself but again this will be a few days worth of work. Hope this helps

I’ve a feeling I’ve made the same mistake on my 6930 Put in new valve an blowing constantly hot I don’t fancy pulling cab apart again Would it be alright to swap over hot water hoses under the cab

In theory I see no problem with it but my only concern is that you’d be sending the coolant through the heater first until it hit the valve. I don’t know if flowing the coolant the wrong way might pressure the heater and cause other issues. Please let me know what you find

In my opinion John Deere tractors are designed to break and should come with a health warning !!

I used to be a full time fitter for John deere and there are some very silly design faults. And a garrenty that the broken bit need a day to get to it 😆
