This week it's back to the Land Rover garage for a quick brake calliper repair
we then head north and find a beautiful wild campsite that we just had to stay for more than one day...
Stephy shares a simple and delicious meal idea for life on the road that we know you'll just have to try.
We learn all about the culture of Japanese green tea.

Like this series on Japan as I hope to visit one day. Just a slight correction on “green tea plants“. All tea varietIes are green while growing. Green tea is produced when the harvested leaves are roasted or steamed to prevent them from oxidizing. Basically stops degradation. If you don't do this you end up with darker tea, all the way to black. I like the style that includes roasted barley.

Can you diplomatically comment on how rates for Land Rover maintenance and repair compare in different countries? I remember when I got my 2016 Defender and the Land Rover Jaguar dealer here in Oz wanted about $1200 straight out of the gate for the regular services... needless to say, I found a Land Rover specialist shop instead.
@leighdearle5965
@leighdearle5965 4 жыл бұрын
Mate I can tell you we learned the hard way to never get our Defender serviced at the Land Rover dealership. In France we paid similar to what you were quoted for a basic service. From then on we've only used regular Land Rover garages. I also find that they are more passionate about what they do. We only once after visited an official Land Rover dealership and that was in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. We were looked after there as a local Defender owners wife was the manager 😉 Things got much more affordable in Central Asia as far as labour costs but if we needed parts then shipping prices were a killer. In Korea the prices for mechanical labour were similar to Australia. In Japan we were very spoilt and Asahi Motors only charged us for parts 😍
