Either Gboard version can be set to floating mode (which you don't want), but only the original version will show you what you're typing on the upper left above the full-size keyboard.

Thanks for this tip. I noticed the text sizes were increased on my keyboard and simply uninstalling Gboard (back to the original version) solved the problem.

I despise 'auto' updates! Thank you!

IF it's like most apps, tap the 3 dots on the top right & uncheck the auto-updates

@@old-rcplane-phart I just looked at some of the apps on my iX14 and I don't see 3 dots where I can set auto-update for each app individually. Is this on the iX14 or on the Google Play Store?

aw man, I have been using the new floating one which is tiny! it sucks. The worst part is, I never knew I had installed it

iX radios are so overrated. Stick with NX. Super long boot and I always somehow touch the screen while I’m flying and when I look down the screen is always showing something else I wasn’t expecting. So frustrating. I’m so regretting getting iX14 over the NX10. My DX9 was so much better. Your video however was great. That hidden text keyboard was killing me. Thanks for the help.

I have a DX20, DX9, DX6e, and used to have a DX18 and a DX7. I prefer the iX14. In between flights, I'll put it to sleep, and it wakes up instantly. It doesn't take very long to boot up when I get to the field. It's much faster than the iX12 was. I avoided it because I'm not an Android fan. I've mostly had iPhones. I try to keep my iX14 from installing updates to the apps. The iX14's Android version is so old that most of the updated apps won't work correctly.
