Thread tap to clean up thread in hole if didnt work ,helicoil

Looks like you have an oil pressure sending unit as well as a pressure switch. Does the sending unit read accurately off the tee? I have the YSM12 version; a little beast of an engine; won't get you there fast, but it will get you there. Be well and good luck.

It looks like you tapped the top housing and the engine block, for the top housing to pull down tight and seal it must have a clearance hole ( slightly larger than the threads) maybe you did clearance it and I just didn't see it

Good tip! We ended up getting it tight enough to stop leaking with the housing and block tapped but that makes total sense. Love having several eyes and opinions for when I miss silly things like that. Cheers and thanks for watching.
