I feel like leaving the characters up to the readers imagination makes it feel like their story, like their living through it. If your talking about Kaminari, then not really. Sure he’s very energetic, and very goofy and good-natured, but he doesn’t give of the same chaotic yet well-mannered vibe that Willy Wonka does. Honestly, the character that gives off that energy that most would probably be Gentle Criminal. His name literally describes a gentle (like a gentleman) person who is a criminal, and a criminal is usually a person who does bad things, and usually in a chaotic way. Denki is just like the idiot everyone wants as a friend. Sure he doesn’t think his way through things, but he’s a great friend/ally to have on your side.

I remember reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children in class in eighth grade and then we watched the movie. We were all pretty confused with the switch and all the other changes... but I'm not going to lie, I let Miss Peregrine's portrayal slide because I'm a huge sucker for pretty ladies ;~;. This movie got me to love Eva Green. Though, I think she would've looked equally as stunning if they had gone by the book and your depiction of her uwu.

Eva Green is amazing I think, as well as Asa Butterfield (he was already cool in Merlin :')). But for me, I actually like the movie, but see it as another project than the books... Cause everything is different, the whole plot. Still, I like the movie, its interesting and they pictured things quite well. With a completely different story, though, and I think the ending of the movie isn't as good as the "ending" in the books was like.... :(

@@evil-mf5bi Well yeah, but we know that the characters are aware of their age, because of that scene in the book where they were telling Jacob their real ages, although they don't act like old people. I think Enoch is one of the few characters that actually seems more mature than his physical body, and even Jacob thinks it's a bit unusual the way Enoch speaks and acts. There is this scene in the book, where "Dr Golan" found Jacob, Bronwyn, Emma, and Enoch with Martin's corpse in that fish place, and Enoch was saying an excuse. And Jacob said something along the lines of Enoch sounding like an actual 12 year old boy for once. Also, apologies for the long reply.

WAIT I JUST REMEMBERED SOMETHING!! There are graphic novel adaptations of the books that are in color!! They leave out some parts of the book, but for the most part I think they’re pretty accurate!! I recommend checking them out!!

「Mike」 yes, Coraline is SO different from the book, which is underrated. It made me angry watching the film.

I want to see How To Train Your Dragon. While I get that pretty much the only similarity between the books and the movies are a handful of the names, the movie did seem to be trying to keep several of the characters’ appearances somewhat the same.

Mrs Coulter would be interesting, given that the author decided to change her dark hair to blonde after the movie came out So both adaptations manage to get it wrong somehow

There’s an adaptation other than the movie..? I remember reading that series and it was very.. strange and most of it went right past me n I’ve forgotten a lot. A very strange series (not particularly in a bad way)

Hopefully she does this! But only the bbc show, not the film that we will never speak of 😁😂

Omg I need to see this show! I read the books when I was 6 or 7 maybe.. Very early actually then somehow they got lost! I saw the movie and actually find it good but couldn't really compare to the books since my memories lost themselves too) Anyway, is it a good adaptation? Cause obviously imma buy the book again to read it
@gracebriseno61274 жыл бұрын
Can you please please please do a part two? I want to see more of the kids, like Olive and Enoch (they made them so old in the movie!) and everyone else; you could honestly probably do like three or four parts for this series
@CherryFieldsArt4 жыл бұрын
Could u ever make a part 2 for this book or make one for each book since there’s 3? Cause the movie even cut out a LOT of story and some rlly IMPORTANT characters
@efiechan-71274 жыл бұрын
This movie scared me and my dad 😅 I loved it though It was just hard seeing these creatures eating eyes, though that’s kind of what makes the movie and book so good! Also I liked the black and white images in the book because it lets the reader color in the picture with there mind. I still absolutely loved your drawings and style! It made the entire experience of looking back so much better 😁

@@itsmeemrys9221 That's the point with book-to-movie adaptations : those movies are ADAPTATIONS. They also are supposed to be the director's interpretations, not perfect copies of the original story. I would be bored and annoyed if I paid 8€ (France) just to see a filmed copy-pasta of a book I've read...

Layna's Custom Cards BRUH. When I say they ruined everything I’m mainly talking about how much of the story they changed and how they changed the age of a lot of the characters. Not the way they look.
@dog32744 жыл бұрын
So... not gonna mind how people are TRYING? I have never read the book and I still love the movie. Attack me all you want. This is just my opinion. The way you say they ruined everything was a bit rude. Offensive too. They didn't actually ruin EVERYTHING. You can list all the things they should work on instead of calling it horrible. We all learn from mistakes..... I hope you dont scream at me lol
@operaghosts3 жыл бұрын
@@dog3274 I find it kinda funny how you’re defending a movie as if its feelings are gonna be hurt, like “you’re being offensive”. Even if you liked it, you can’t deny that they did in fact ruin a lot of the good, interesting concepts in the book and made them boring. Read a summary of them. They’re much better. No one is being offensive by disliking a movie because a movie doesn’t have emotions, you’re just being overly defensive over the fact that an adaptation is pretty bad and you still like it.
