Check the connections on your yellow plugs under the front seats and behind the glovebox. I unplug and reconnect mine and it self clears them every time.

There are two 1.2w lights in the dash that illuminate this warning: when one of them fails the other will stay on automatically. The fault is not with the SRS but with the warning light: change out both 1.2w bulbs and the persistent warning will go away. Replace any dodgy odometer bulbs (3 off) whilst you're in there.

yep, having a good code reader helps, open circuit on driver air bag can be the connector under the knee panel, given them a good clean and reset it. My code history stored the SRS bulb issue, I changed them both four years ago and it sorted the problem, just never got round to clearing the code out. Just clean the connector for the drivers air bag the other day as a warning light came on, cleaned and reset so far so good.

Do you not remove the negative side of the battery? Would you like to erase the SRS code once using the scan tool? And if the SRS light turns on again, I think there is another cause.(As you know, ABS lights should go out when you run at speeds above 8 km / h.)
