fixing weird oil leak and painting 1974 john deere 140 H3

The issue with the wrinkling is attributed to time. You need to clear the tractor 10-20 mins after spraying the final coat of paint. Wait 10 mins between coats. Never clear the paint 24h later!

Have one in the same condition. Super strong chassis and drive train. Hard to spend the big money for what they want for like model that will do the same thing only not as cool.

I forgot to mention, so the fisheye/wrinkling is caused by the clear re-activating the paint. This is why you paint and clear within a specific window. Just spray the clear after the final coat…say…10-20mins depending on ambient temps and you’ll be fine!!

Try using clear made by the same manufacturer that made the paint. Rustoleum isn't always compatible with other brands. @@mikestarcher

JOHN DEERE BRAND classic green is correct. I used ag green
