6:57 did some of the coding of the wire go bad or how did that work?
@DrHarley15 күн бұрын
The wires around one pole dot smoked. How it happened and why. I have no idea. The Stator the thr start of the charging system.

Doc, when you're in behind primary, you should always replace shifter seal in my experience. You already replaced the two others. I never want to go back in to replace a $5 seal. I don't want to have to tell someone I f up.

Yes I do, However, that was not the focus of this video, If I recorded everything, than this video would be around an hour and half. But I should have mentioned that,..

Do you have to remove the inner primary. I thought you can replace the stator without removing
@DrHarley13 күн бұрын
You can if you do some grinding on the inner Primary. I am not a fan of that.
@HellfighterPreacherman13 күн бұрын
Not understanding why you needed to pull the inner primary cover. I have done stators by just pulling the outer cover.
@DrHarley13 күн бұрын
My experience is that the Stator wheel gets caught up and it's hard to remove. It's also easier to remove it. IMO
@HellfighterPreacherman13 күн бұрын
@@DrHarley I understand. I usually use 2 allen wrenches in the holes of the rotor and give them a mighty yank. The hard part is threading the new wire in.
@DrHarley13 күн бұрын
@HellfighterPreacherman, yes, that would be much harder. Also, getting in there with the torque wrench with the extension. I just prefer no extensions with a torque wrench. In all in all. It's only 7 more bolts to remove to make life so much easier
