Hey there! I'm an idiot and didn't bridge the battery and fried a pin on the screen so now the digitizer doesn't work. What are the odds a new digitizer would fix it? Do they come with everything? I'm worried i fried a daughter board on the way and replacing the digitizer won't do anything. Thanks!

I just bought a second gen iPad Pro 2 used from eBay and now a line just appeared across the screen. I saw in another video where they reflowed the solder you fix that line issue. I’m just wondering if you can buy an entire replacement cable versus needing to do the soldering?

Yes you can get a replacement cable but there are more than one reason for the line.

I have a ipad pro gen2 12.9 with cellular. The screen broke...it works fine now EXCEPT for the facial recognition. I can still use the password, so no big deal. My question is (and forgive me if you already covered this) Will a gen1 screen work on a gen2?

Is there a difference in the A1670 and the A1671 as far as replacing the LCD and glass, because I have the A1671 and ordered the part and the guy at the repair shop told me they have different connection. how do I test most easily if an ipad works when the screen is completely shattered. bought used so can not connect to the computer to see if it comes to life there (even if the previous owner said it did and removed from icloud ..)

"Glass only" repair is possible but difficult. It is not worth the trouble in my opinion but you have to decide.

@@FixItPlanet1 i have not found anyone who does this repair. Where do i get a Glas? Is it the same as the Gen1? I just find it absurd paying 400 in order to replace the whole Display+Glas when the Display is fully operational. No matter how much i think about it i cant find it logical

@@TechVech0 Hey there. I gave the 12.9 back so never did it. I however replaced the glass on a ipad pro 10.5 from 2017-18. They told me they plan to get a bigger Vacuum thingy in order to be able to fit the 12.9 inch. The 10.5 glass replacement cost me around 140 euros in Germany.

This model comes with the display assembly complete including digitizer and display fused together. if you want to attempt a "glass only" repair it can be done but is not very practical.

Well apparently that screen WAS TAKING OFF PRIOR to the repair. ladies and gentlemen, its not that easy getting the screen off. the adhesive isnt even on the frame.
