On their newest records, Belladonna sounds just great! Did you hear "Worship Music" or "Anthems"? He's just as good as Dickinson, Halford, etc. One of the greatest voices of metal!

Well, I have to give Belladonna a break here - the rest of the band obviously enjoys playing this, and they do a great job. Sound of White Noise is a great album, and I understand that they didn't want to ignore it, even though the two singers are very very different.

The whole Bush Belladonna thing...I always thought that Anthrax was awesome musically, super tight. Belladonna's voice never really held up on record...but I've seen them live and and several recordings on youtube...he sounds great. For some reason that wasn't captured on their albums. Bush however sounds better on studio recordings. That being said, they are one of the Big 4, one of the greats, love them.

Joey does a great job here for what his vocals allow him to do. Bush hit the harder vocal notes but joey's great at getting those high ones. As an athrax fan I like both sides personally.

This makes me wanna crank Sound of White Noise now. Bush was awesome for that period and that's still my 2nd favorite Anthrax record. Time now shows that Joey is THE voice of Anthrax and he does a swell job on this one. Worship Music is the best thing I've perhaps ever heard from them. And I've been a fan since Among the Living. I'm just floored at how good Joey is on this new album.

Belladonna had said that he didn't really know the song and had little time to prepare for this. I saw them live with Megadeth and Slayer last October, and he pulled this off much better. His voice is quite versatile. I wouldn't mind seeing them tour with both singers, or do something with Amored Saint, but I definitely prefer Joey as the permanent front man.

I disagree, the 90s was a tough time for metal but I feel they peaked on Persistence of Time in terms of being heavy and marked a change towards the more serious tone of the band. If they stayed current with that direction they would have done fine during that time. Testament, Slayer, Overkill, Kreator and other bands of their ilk consistently toured and put out heavy releases without danger of losing everything. Personally, I don't think Anthrax would have been a different story.

I think Joey nailed it. He's always had a much wider range than Bush, whose voice is so limited. I liked him in Armored Saint though. Is this the only song from the Bush era that Anthrax plays live with Joey? I've seen Bush sing the Belladonna era sings, but hardly ever the other way around.

@boinger5150 Bush is not coming back. He did his thing when anthrax decided to go in a different experimental direction. That ship has run its course now that Anthrax is back to form. I saw the recent live versions of this song with Bush fronting Anthrax and to me, it didn't sound any better this. I prefer Belladonna's vocal range and overall stage presence / performance to Bush.. Bus'sh monotone vocals of the anthrax "classics" just don't quite fit to me and many other Anthrax fans

You obviously dont know your Anthax history. Anthax had bigger and more hit songs with Joey in the fold. Bush's monotone vocals dont have the range of Joey. SOWN was a decent album but Anthax was in decline the more albums they put out with Bush and playing in smaller venues.
