Fizik R1B Uomo, Review! Or, my personal opinion about shoes.

Hey Kevin, can you do an ultimate guide on a cyclist's wardrobe? I get so confused when it comes to dressing up appropriately, such is when to wear long sleeve jersey, arm warmers, leg warmers, full length bib tights, different jackets, base layer, gilet, etc. I live in Hong Kong, its crazy humid in the summer and it can be either wet or dry in the winter, do i need anything else other than arm and leg warmers? Thanks!

I live on Paradise dr and I cycle. Paradise loop is about 8 miles, unless you do the extended. You'd have to go to Nicosia to get in 50+ miles. Other than that, nice video.

I have these shoes and one thing I noticed that is poor design is the cable end at the toe box portion would make it impossible to replace should the cable need replacing. Other than that I have worn my shoes for close to two years now, not every day of coarse, and they are holding up better than all the Sidi shoes I've owned. I think I might give Specialized shoes a try next time I need a pair of shoes because I would like something a bit more comfortable.

I bought a pair of the shoes (got a great deal direct from Fizik) and have HATED them every ride. I have major foot cramps and they seem to fit bigger than other brands. Any thoughts on how to get rid of the cramps (footbeds?)

Need the right foot shape. Fiziks are pointy-toed shoes made for narrow feet. If your feet are wide, or even just fairly normal, you're going to have issues with these. Buying a bigger size to accomodate isn't the solution. You need to get a wider shoe in your correct size.

Love mine! Aesthetically and functionally, nothing I've tried before have come close! These are a night and day difference over the gen 1 R1B shoes which had buckles, rear heels that fell off soon after purchase and natural leather that looked very old after a few rides. Fizik customer service replaced them with these bad boys - no questions asked! Couldn't ask for better customer service - or cycling shoes!!

I love the look of these shoes and really want a pair, but I have wide feet. Should I be thinking about something different. I dont want to be dealing with any straps, BOA only.

Hi, Tri, thanks for the question. Sidi and Bonts are designed for wider feet, plus Bonts can come with a custom footbed.
