These pants are made for bushcraft and strolling not for serious hiking or scrambling. Keb series is made for that there are more flexible !!! For the winter time and rainy weather Fjallraven uses eco-shell material pants which is organic material not like gortex which is plastic (bad for the nature).

Thanks for the comment Christian. These are definitely solid pants for bushcraft - I wanted a durable pant for scrambling up and down mountains. I go threw pants quickly when they are the stretch material ones that’s why I decided on these. I’ve even rock climbed in them. I washed these pants with hot water a few times to get rid of the wax to make them a bit more breathable. I will say I love these pants and really enjoy the huge side vents. It would be nice if they had a different waist system, belts for me aren’t great but I guess these are geared more towards “bush craft”. - Andy

£180 here in UK 🇬🇧 That’s not cheap They are very good trousers & comfortable too. I would recommend & I would buy these again definitely. Only bad point is the price. That’s it.

Don't use an iron to impregnate wax, it will ruin the pants. Use a hair dryer to melt it in to the g1000.
@AndyOnTheMountain Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I doubt I will actually add any wax to the pants, I like them a bit more breathable.

No it wont lmao

@@AndyOnTheMountain Had no problem with Ironing it, but using a hair dryer in my opinion is faster, I would rather wax around the bottom of the knee to all the way down to act as an Gaiter.

I'm a helicopter lineman, i've had my pants for 2 years now and worked my ass off with them. They never disappointed me one bit

Wow, that’s impressive. I’m sure you put more use to those pants than most people! Thanks for the comment.

Hey, i got one they fit loose around the crutch and wears like a loose sweat pants is that okay?
@burhansecvr7665 Жыл бұрын
What size did you get them in? I don’t have anywhere close I can try these on and I was curious if they run long. I was planning on getting a short or regular.
@Antenox Жыл бұрын
I’m 5’7” and normally wear 32/34 inch waist pants, and the 50 EU short fits me pretty well with maybe an extra inch or two of extra length.
@burhansecvr7665 Жыл бұрын
@@Antenox I finally got out to rei and tried some on. A 48EU short fits well for me. I’m 5’8” but I don’t know my waist in specific. I tried a 46 regular and a 48 regular as well. I did not try a 50 however.

Sorry for the late response. Hopefully trying them on helped.

Crotch blew out after one season. (About 3 months) The stretchy material they have there combined with the single stitch is NOT durable. pocket where I keep my phone blew out shortly after. Very weak material in the pocket.
@AndyOnTheMountain Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this. I can definitely imagine the stretchy material being the weak point. That’s very unfortunate.

Do you like this pants? Does it make you feel good? Can you afford it? Than who cares what others says about if it is worth it or not. Buy it for YOURself, wear it, enjoy it. That is how I see it. Love mine.

I make these videos so people have an idea of what the pants are like especially when spending that kind of money. Im pretty sure people are not buying these to wear for someone else.. Thanks for checking out the video.

hi, what trousers Gore tex do you have for winter?, thanks
@AndyOnTheMountain10 ай бұрын
I use Gore Tex pants by Patagonia and 686. They are both meant for snowboard tho… For rain pants (rarely wear) they are Marmot.

The belt is called Arcade. Not sure where I got it.

If you wash them in hot water and dry them hot, will they shrink?
@AndyOnTheMountain Жыл бұрын
I believe I’ve done both with these pants and no they didn’t shrink much. After wash my pants are always a bit tighter for a few hours then stretch out.

The "ventilation" on these and many other so called trekking/hiking trousers is a joke. Having no mesh on the inside of the vent means that tics and any other crawly/flying insects can easily gain access to bite/sting your legs. The breathable mesh to cover these vents is cheap and light, so adding it should not add much to either the cost or weight of the pants and would not affect the ventilation much either. If I am going to have to spend over €200 on hiking trousers then they should offer protection against insect bites & stings and not make it easier for this to occur.
