thank you so much for this video! i’ve been hesitant on getting the acorn color bc i’ve barely seen any videos on it. i was stuck between ochre and acorn. in a lot of videos and pictures Ochre looked more dark but then other pictures/videos made it look more bright, so it’s hard to tell Online vs real life. but i went with this acorn color since i originally wanted a darker mustard color!! Mine is arriving some time next week. i’m excited Thanks again :)

That’s the color Acorn right? It’s so pretty. I see Orche isn’t available. But I can then Orche on the classic looks really yellow on the site. Especially the straps. but I love the leather look.

Hi Gabby, yes, it's the color Acorn. Me too, the leather was the "IT" factor for me. I know the colors can really be difficult to distinguish on the site, I had gone to a local Fjallraven store to look at them, but I didn't have a lot of time to record the colors. I will make a quick video of them this upcoming weekend and you can see the ochre next to the Acorn if you like. :)

I think you forget to mention it, but the G1000 heavy duty material is eco friendly too. A large percent of the polyester in it is recycled!! Also, the life expectancy of a kanken is 10 years :)

I'm glad you included a comment about why you prefer this bag to the "over the shoulder" type since until you mentioned this, I wasn't sure WHY exactly people were using this type bag (laptop type) over the more common (I think) shoulder type. Typically, I just carry my laptop (in its own case) like a book (i.e. in my hand by my side as I'm walking) and actually never thought of even using a side bag (shoulder type) but you're comment has made me wonder if having a backpack might work better. You have definitely given me something to think about! thanks!

Hi Gigi, I don't have any regrets! It's a nice color to have, no regrets thus far. I hope you like yours! I was thinking of getting the regular one too! But I know I always carry my laptop around so I opted for this bag to give me extra cushion for my back.

What's the difference between acorn and ochre?

EXCUSE ME? The acorn colour is a bit more darker and browner then the ochre which is a mustard yellow. I would prefer the acorn as it wouldn’t get as dirty. :)

I got mine for 100 and in navy from backcountry!!!! they have a sale storewide and the coupon applied to this !!! only downside is that they have limited colors but that's ok!

On the official website they say that you should gently wash it with warm water before you start using it for the first time, so you can avoid stains for sure.

Thank You, finally, after watching 1/2 dozen of these videos - one that enriching. Good job. Still wish Kanken would enhance the side-pockets, simply a waste of space / $$$. Adding a stretch material or what Travelon does, a zipper opens the side pocket bigger. Take the advice Kanken. $140 is a big investment for a backpack w/o zippered compartments and size USABLE pocket.
