For those wondering, the roll that Matt wouldn't tell the party was very probably Obann's own Domination spell over the Hand. Like Yasha and Jourrael, the Laughing Hand wasn't willingly going by Obann's plan, it was controlled by him. Fjord litterally beat Obann at his own game with that spell.
